Horrible stomach pains and feeling of despair resolved in two sessions

I first met this woman in another capacity and as I spoke with her she described her anguish and despair.  Though she was presently remarried she had previously been married to a person
who was very abusive and controlling. 
This person still had control of her emotionally and was purposely
making life hell for her.  A few years
prior she had ended up in the emergency room with symptoms of a stroke. They
did every test they could and found nothing. She stated she was very ill, it
felt like she was hit in the side of the head with a bat, couldn't see
straight, could barely speak and couldn't even take herself to the potty.  On this occasion she was having horrible stomach
pains, couldn't go potty and felt like she had to vomit.

Having worked with many emotional and stress related disorders I immediately recognize this as a possibility.  After her physician medically cleared her I convinced her to come in for an appointment and obtained a full history.  Her assessment revealed a history of physical
and sexual abuse as a child and two prior marriages both of which involved
emotional and physical abuse.  She had a
history of going to extremes to try to keep the peace and make things work.  She was a people pleaser and would hold her
emotions in until they affected her emotional and physical health.  She was terrified by the power her ex-husband
still had on her and could not shake it.

We held two hypnosis sessions in which she received general suggestions for self confidence, stress release, and emotional and physical healing.  We centered on the overwhelming
feeling that manifested itself in her stomach and followed it back through a
regression to its original source.  There
we reframed it in a more healthful way as we also did with many of the
subsequent events in her life.  We
released her emotional and limiting thoughts and allowed her to take back the
control she had once given to these people in her life.  We projected her into the future so her
subconscious mind could see her confident and in control through all
situations.  She was then given a couple
recorded sessions for reinforcement.

Her symptoms immediately begin to subside and within a matter of days she was healing and all her symptoms were gone.  This was a couple years ago and she recentoy had to confront this person in court and was able to go through the entire
ordeal without any symptoms or health issues.
