Good points. In working with people's SM in regression and in more conscious states like the pretalk, I always trust the feelings coming up, more than the "accuracy" of the details of the memory. The body will tell me what parts of the client's story is the problem. Even a jerk of the shoulder, shuffling of feet are great signs of the body still not feeling relief about parts of the story/memory.
I have loved it when in regressions, clients go into things that their conscious mind does not remember, or they think that their is not possible way to remember, and we get great releasing and clarity, so the client experiences the MIRACLE of subconscious memory. Some clients have had to get verification from parent's etc., only to find the recall in their regressions were very accurate.
I've been to my birth 4 times and remember more of it each time. But the purpose is to release the trauma of my awful birth, not get accurate details. However, the devil is in the details and the healing is in the details, once the feelings are released and the holistic mind now has a clearer picture and understanding of what happened and why it happened. Truth can set us free and love will bring up what needs to be healed. With those two principles of the Universe, regression work for me has been the most rewarding work I've experienced besides being a dad.
have a great 2012!

When discussing memory, in order to make sense of this topic, I think it is important to take note that we have two primary perspectives and distinguish them. First we must consider what is the objective reporting, i.e. who was involved, what actually happened, when did this event occur and where did it take place. Then, second, we must regard as opinion all subjective reporting regarding how it happened and why. When SSEs are involved we get additional ways to verify and confirm the reported facts, i.e. how often: frequency, to what extent: intensity and how much: depth.

So very often, the conscious recall and the initial recall in regressions are very imcomplete and corrupted. With each go-through of releases they get more clarity and more details, and more healing changes. So often the story was one pin-hole of the entire event that hurts, so the whole memory is distorted until we get some releases, some clearing of the feelings. When that is accomplished it is magical, even miraculous what the client now sees/comprehends:
I survived and now I'm a better/stronger person for it-
It was NOT my fault, I forgive myself-
This bothered me, but now I see (the other person) didn't have any choice and I choose to let it go now-
etc., etc., etc.
Loving releasing and healing regressions, wishing all a great 2012,
Randy
