I dont have any tips Adam but I will follow your post with interest, as its something I want to aim towards having been regressed meself recently :-)

there are many people that teach that course. Just reading a script doesn't cut it. Like any regression, you have to be carefull of your language to not lead. 2 weeks ago, I had a client who saw someone else for past life regression and he didn't like it as the hypnotist was very leading. I know that this hypnotist is not trained and it showed. I am seeing another client who saw another scripnotist and he realy screwed her. I will have lots to do to undo the damage he has done.

Also ask why they want a past life for. most of the time a regression to cause in this life is better. if it is for spiritual reason then it is OK.

As Martine pointed out , You should not really do it unless you know what your doing .

Having said that, PLR and LBL are good skills to have , It is not uncommon for people to go there off an affect bridge.
and when that happens ,you need to know how to use it to obtain the result they came in for.

Doing PLR and LBL for "Recreational Exploring " can be fun ....but get some training first .....there is no script :-)

Randy Shaw would be my first choice in that area BTW ...Im not sure about PLR etc but he would definetly be one of the best trainers in Regression Hypnotherapy there is

Thanks for all the replies and advise although i'm experienced in regresion to cause in hypnotherapy, i'm still doubtful even if i beleive in past lives so i think i'll pass these people one to someone who is a specialist in this area until i can look more deeply into in.

Getting the training is a very good investment even if you don't believe in PL , you will get clients that go there and you need to know how to help them when they do

Hi Adam,

In addition to the training I received in my hypnotherapy courses, I've also been reading extensively on the subject. I have to say, that I don't necessarily take my clients into past life therapy, rather that they seem to take *me* into it! Whether their memories are factual or simply a metaphor created to address their present day problem, resolving the issue that the client presents is the goal of the therapy. Whether I believe their memories or not is immaterial so long as it brings them to understanding and resolution.

Yes, Bruce Goldberg has several books out there that include scripts. Check him out on Amazon. There is one that has something about Hypnosis for the New Age in the title. Having said that, I agree that PLR and LBL takes skill. I'd actually prepared a series of CD/mp3's and then had a really awful experience with a client who went into trauma. Fortunately, I was there and helped her but it convinced me to not publish the recordings. It's easy to read a script but not so easy to handle real live situations. The fasinating thing with this work is you never know what will come up. Some people regress to lives on other planets...all sorts of things! The others are right. It is worth getting training from a qualified professional.

Dear Adam

If you are interested in this area, I can recommend some background reading.

Excellent books on the topic are Brian Weiss "Many Lives, Many Masters", or Michael Newton "Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life between Lives"

You can also search the Michael Newton Institute website for practitioners and courses in your suburb.

For me past life regression is not so much about "who we were in a past life" as to release energetic patterns that our soul incarnation have carried for lifetimes.

As such yes, there is no script but a really good and slow induction, and then a solid vehicle to transport the person to that past life. Protection is also a valuable tool.

This is not something you can just read a script, you do need to learn the methods and techniques, but also understand the context of past life regression.

A good workshop / course is recommended.

PS It is wonderful work and worthwhile the effort of studying if you are interested.
