Spot on Craig! I don't think I could say it any better.

Your summation is exactly what I've encountered:
>all of the concerns that I have heard about this Style of
>Hypnotherapy come from people that have not been trained
>properly in it ...and have not experienced it themselves ..

The latter sentence is the most relevant to me. Those who protest
the most of the kind of work I do and cherish are those least willing to
look inside them selves.

The fear of abreactions is a genuine concern, but as you said
with proper training one will know how to deal with them
correctly and to the client's benefit. Those abreactions happen
because the feelings were buried alive and never died. Helping
the client finally "get it all out" is the beginning of healing changes and
is miles beyond any technique that would ignore, bury or cover up
the problem.

Get a great eduction in hypnosis and hypnotism, then regression, but
then dive in, learn what it really is and how powerfully healing it can be.
Then go practice on and with others; then you'll attract clients. Exeriencing
the process will give you greater insight than all the classes and workshops.
But then you know that, don't you Mr. Craig :-)

I believe that having a large and diverse tool box
is one of the greatest investments anyone can acquire who desires
to become masterful at regression for healing work.
But know how to use those tools by having experience and success
with yourself, first.

I think the key with regression and all of the objections or problems associated with it comes back to training ....if you are taught how to do this correctly. You will only use it at the right time for the right reasons. You will know how to work with abreations and will not have to worry about things like false memory ...all of the concerns that I have heard about this Style of Hypnotherapy come from people that have not been trained properly in it ...and have not experienced it themselves ..

Yeah I am not trained in regression work so I wouldn't even think about attempting this right now with someone in front of me, much less at a distance.

Hi Antonio
I have done regression using Skype and as Randy points out it is probably not a good idea unless you really know what you are doing ...Skype has a tendency to cut out or freeze at the worst possible time Unless you are really well trained and experienced with Skype and have a very well trained client that knows what to expect I would be hesitant to do it
Having said that ..if you are well trained and really know what you are doing Skype can be an excellent way to conduct sessions , Even regression work

I have Antonio with great success. However, I frankly suggest that one is VERY good at your craft before even attempting phone or Skype sessions, as you must have an excellent pretalk set up and know how to handle strong emotions to the benefit of your client, and your client must have "conscious agreement" with your processes before starting. A good way to start is to do lighter-kinds of work to understand the minute details that make Skype sessions so valuable, and then with those successes move into more complex work. Good Question!

How many of you folks have done regression work over skype or a similar medium?
