I have never used aversion therapy James, My choice is to continue seeing myself the way I know I am. I feel waves of pleasure when someone tells me I look great for my age, When I buckle my size 36 pants my unconcious mind always calls attention to it with a smug sense of pride. I leave my finger prick kit on the dining room table so I can feel good about NOT using it.

I've used some aversion therapy with myself, and I notice that I get a slight wave of disgust looking at certain foods that are bad for me. That's not my main approach, but I find that it helps remind me of my goals.

Roger talks about the nutritional value (an oxymoron in this case) of movie theatre popcorn in his latest video: http://www.hypnosishealthinfo.com/blog/lose-weight-seattle-movie-popcorn-still-a-nutritional-horror?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+HypnosisHealthInfo+(Hypnosis+Health+Info)&utm_content=Google+Feedfetcher
I like how he explains that you know a change has been made when you walk past the junk food counter just like you walk past the movie posters, with a vague awareness of them, but no interest. That's taking back your power!!

Good Evening James and group,

Virtual Group,, for weight loss,, right up my personal alley...

Here are a few eating changes that helped myself, over the past three years or so,,,

Virtually seeing myself already have eating a satifsying amount of almonds, Sipping in a G2, Gatorade, always trigger me to go to the gym and sweat between clients, or whatever is going on,, Visioning how easy to get stuff together,, just dropping food in Enzo's bowl,, my black lab, and I'm off, in my mind to the olyptical,, already imagining a slight sweat and I can make my endorphins fire,,

Weather I actually go to the gym, cycle, roller blade with enzo is the spice,, it's based on weather, time, how much lite,, is exciting,, and motivating,,

Same for meals,, imagining fruit, for me bananas, grapes,, than a satifying what ever I'm in the mood for,, just seeing myself have already have eaten it,, I can feel how I will feel post meal...

Now I'm no angel, tonights going to be Hungry Howies with the kids and the New Star Trek flick,, so I'd be hypoctritical if I didn't admit to fast food on a hurryied day,,

Bottom line, I do believe in "Feeling How I'll Feel Post Meal" just before I hit the buffet line at our baseball banquet, ect,,

And lots and lots of ice water, for me, some how replaced coffee,, cold ice water,, just thinking of it,, imagining how sated I am ,, can put knibbling off for some time..

I went through a few surgerys,, put on a ton of weight, this was age 28,, post two double herne'as,, I also find visual or I'll call it "Post blah, blah exercies, how will I feel, which eliminates running for me,, personally,, just to many knee parts removed,,

And as one of my favorite, very fun client had as her new part we developed for her was "I'm going to use it or I'm going to lose it" and she's looking great, her self esteem soared when she started walking and getting out of our house and moving around..

Last blurrrb,, nothing better than queing up some Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Zz Top, The Who,, now I'm dating myself, and just air guitaring all over your house with our kids!!!!!!!! This is mandatory in our house..

When their is variety and it's fun, and it's always easier in groups,, I'm happy with where I am feeling weight weise, I enjoy my weight loss clients,, really try and make it fun for them, even post trance, I'll que up my Ipod and if I have one of their favorite songs,, once they are oriented,, feeling good,, press play,, and watch a client bob around my office to what they dig..

It's all a feeling, and once I started to feel myself, post some injuries and saw the outcome,, I transformed back to how I visualised my body and how I felt about it..

Hope this helps someone somewhere,

Have a great evening

Scott

More dance bell, James! Don't you have a dog that needs exercise like Walt's? I am able to get to my dojo at least 3 times a week but have to be creative other times. I like walking in this winter weather. And you never know who you meet that might need a good hypnotist!

Well, here's my update:

After six weeks of consistently shedding weight, anywhere from two-tenths of a pound to a pound and a half a week, I showed a significant gain this week. :-(

Now, I've decided to look at that as feedback, information I can use. My eating habits have stayed pretty much the same for the duration, so I think other factors must be involved. For instance, in the week in which I dropped the pound and a half, I had gone dancing for two hours one night--I didn't manage that much exercise any of the other weeks.

However, in all of the weeks in which I shed weight, I had been using my virtual exercise recording. This week, I got busy and didn't go dancing or use the virtual exercise.

My conclusion is that even one night of dancing helps a lot, and my virtual exercise recording was helping a lot more than I knew!
