Thanks Katherine - I didn't think of EFT - might also try "swish". Your comments are now sending me off in the right direction.

I would use EFT with her or some NLP: submodalities in particular to lessen her reaction.

O.K.- I am stumped. A woman called and had an incident where she walked into her kitchen and found a 4 foot snake - 4 year old and baby upstairs - husband traveling. A neighbor finally removed it. She has thrown out all the canned goods in her pantry, had it disinfected, husband gone again and she is staying with the kids at her parents. She has always been afraid of snakes and wants to get over this. I know some tools I would use - I just can't think of any metaphors that are comfortable. I am not so great with snakes myself! Any ideas for me to add to my bag of tricks? Thanks in advance. Linda

Thanks for the info guys. Now I have to figure out how to do this little trick. When it come to computers I know just enough to be dangerous. I'm off to work right now so I'll tackle this tonight.

Michael, I’m not sure what you’re “just asking”. I’m not up on the “leading adult theories” regarding the accuracy of memory related to negative emotional experience. It’s my understanding that when someone is experiencing “fight/flight stress”,…
