Hi all, I wondered if any one has a script that may help, I have done a lot of work with a client but her real fear is driving alone in her car, does anyone have any script ideas that may help?

I'd be very grateful for a tip!

Hi Karen,

Sorry I do not have a script - but wanted to share with you a successful outcome regarding being afraid to drive alone. We took the feeling the person had when they were alone and regressed them back to the first time they had that feeling - then reframed... he no longer had the fear of driving..... just a thought...

Hi Karen-
I think the route I would take is to first ask many questions to further define the actual fear. Is she afraid the car willl break down and she can't deal with that? Is she afraid she doesn't know where she is going? Is she afraid of all of the traffic? Is all of that o.k. but she is afraid to be alone? If she cannot consciously answer the questions to get more detailed, perhaps under hypnosis you can ask questions that will help to define the actual fear. To solve the correct problem, it has to be defined first. Then perhaps some of us could give more detailed suggestions for metaphors or a script that might work.
Hope that helps.
Linda
Thank you Linda

Actually after much work the panic attacks have quelled but the fear is focussed on the 'what if something happens while I'm alone in my car', an amazing metaphor would do it I think!

Thank you Gayle,

She has been through a lot following the birth of her first child, post natal depression followed by panic attacks. The last issue now is the driving but I don't think she is ready to be tasked yet, one more good session I think though I'm struggling for an inspired metaphor!

I agree with former comments, that the cause and topic of the fear should be investigated more intense.
A client had fear from driving because it was the only time she was alone and could face some facts of her life she didn´t want to look into.
So the metaphor "fear" is just a container.
it could be fear to be in danger
fear to confront unpleasant thoughts
fear to have an accident
fear ...
Scripts should be tailored to the fear, - please tell us more

Hey Karen,

I know it's not hypnosis, but tackling the different aspects with EFT during trance normally works fast and effective.
I've helped 3 women over the past 4 months with starting to drive again. I asked them to localize the fear for a certain aspect of driving in their body (that is the metaphor - they make a drawing in their mind of how the fear looks like in their body) and then tap on changing or making disappear that image using EFT.
hth!

Charlotte, thank you for this I think it could help, we have worked through most of the issues but there is a residual feeling of anxiety so I think this just may do it!
