Hi:

I am increasingly meeting people with food allergies and sensitivities.  Some of them know  which foods or other triggers cause the allergies but say that new ones seem to arrive all the time. For example, a woman who can eat a few fruits but not others suddenly becomes sensitive to the fruit on the tolerated list.

Does anyone have a script or suggestions?

From personal experience and research I realize a lot of sensitivities cause water retention.

Many thanks,

Linda Roan, C.Ht., Mht.

I had a similar experience a few years back. Various treatment routes revealed that my sensitivities correlated loosely to stress, systemic yeast/sugar intolerance, and food combining. My personal history involved emotional eating, eating without presence, and inconsistent eating.

The gist of my most successful auto suggestions & actions regarding such food problems have been
-Take a nice big breath and exhale before and during eating
-Herbal tea soothes the body like a bath on the inside (especially helpful 20-30 min before meals)
-Soups are soothing and easy to digest
-Eating food groups separately and slowly helps my body to make the best use of the nutrients
-Sending love and healing to my stomach with my imagination and my hands
-When hives appear on my skin, I respond with compassion, calming breaths, and calming aromatherapy oils (instead of anger/frustration/fear/washing with soap).
-Journaling / written release helps my body to express what it holds so it no longer has to rely on hives and bloating to communicate

If she has been thoroughly checked of having no organic reason for these allergies, these could be manifestations from an emotional or psychological disorder. If so, what can happen, if one allergy symptom is taken care of or avoided, another will prop up. I have found this to be true with many of my clients that come to be with physical issues (not allergies) that are manifested from some deep seeded issue.
In this case, symptom treatment will do no good. You must find root cause. I use Core Transformation, Time Line Therapy, parts integration, hypnotic regression or a combination of all.
The key in my methodology is getting the client to recognize that it is a part of them that is causing this and that, at it's core, it has a positive intention (Core Transformation) The process leads to identifying past experiences that are tied into the reasons for the manifestation. When identified, TLT or regression can be sued.
Sorry it wasn't as easy as a script, but if it is truly something manifesting in many ways, a script will not permanently fix this.

They "know" things will affect them, condition them to accept things just as easily, remove the stress of "knowing" something is wrong and their bodies will accept without argument. They are causing the allergy themselves and can overcome it themselves, and remove the fear of "knowing" remove the stress and previous issues, esteem problems etc.....Art
Hi Tanya,
Thank you for sharing your experiences. Along the lines of some of your suggestions I have also heard that if meals are made with resentment, anger etc. that passes into the food. I thought that this idea was somewhat specious until I noticed that sometimes home cooked meals of friends and family seemed to reflect either the turbulence of their lives or health. I never voiced this theory but heard from my eating companions that the quality of the food was somehow different.

I find it best to ask my clients to journal just one thing to begin with because so many of them are already so overwhelmed.

If you REALLY want to help your allergy clients, you can guide them to AAT. It is an alternative acupressure technique that has an 85% success rate of eliminating allergies completely and forever. This is the website and I participated on the training for this technology and witnessed it truly works. My daughter had several awful allergies and after a few treatments, they are ALL GONE! http://www.allergytx.com/ If you know anyone plagued by allergies, this is the answer.
I know hypnosis has had some success with allergies, but this really works. It has been in Australia for 10 years and in this country for 4. There are practitioners in almost every state. I would love to share more information with you if you are interested!

Hi Kevin and Art:

Thank you for your thoughtful replies. The clients I have in mind are very resistant to outside of the box thinking but I will explore these concepts with them.

Linda
If they watch the information on the sites I sent you, it is a lot less outside the box than hypnosis for allergies. Acupuncture and acupressure have been used for thousands of years and that is the basis of the therapy.

Hi Fern:

Thank you for the information. I will certainly suggest this site to my clients. I agree acupressure and acupuncture are very old modalities. I find clients will do anything to relieve physical symptoms while they are more reluctant to do hypnosis to relieve emotional symptoms when they come for something like weightloss. A paradox I know, but one Ive seen.

Thanks again,
Linda
Hi Linda,

One approach you might consider is to tell your client that an allergic reaction occurs because the mast cells are CONFUSED and go into the reactive, attack mode to the "invading" food or substance. Talking to the mast cells or the part that controls them, explaining that the substance is not harmful, but is even helpful, can neutralize that reaction.

Best wishes,

Kelley
