I have a client that requests help with enhancing orgasm

She explains that she cannot acheve orgasm via penetration, but only via direct clitoral stimulation.

My first thought on this is that its not a "problem" at all, but she seems to think so because:

-She can orgasm by herself with G spot penetration alone.
-She could also do so with a former partner.
-Her girlfriends claim that they can, and so shes "supposed to" also.

So shes feeling stressed out about this

Interestingly, she did use language that hinted at the issue: "help me submit to my partner more".

Now, I'm all for enhancing her sexual experience regardless if I think its a problem.

So, I'm considering how to approach this, perhaps anchoring the feeling that she has when she can climax by herself ?

I would suggest you do this work under the direct supervision of a professional hypnotherapist, someone with experience in sexual issues. The risks in this area are significant.

Just imagine a forest in the wind.
All the trees are swinging in a beautiful dance, except one.
Now, look at that one. Look carefully. It’s not dancing. Why is not dancing?
(wait for the answer)
Can you make it to dance with the rest of the forest?
That’s good!

How is the tree now?
Can you dance like this tree?
(wait for the answer)

:)

I’m just playing around…
No Ideas ?
A process that I use to help female clients enhance their sexual responsiveness is to introduce them to their mental "control room". Once they have played around and discovered that they can effect changes in temperature in say, their hand, or increase their level of humor or other emotion, I let them practice changing their sexual responses.

The advantage in using this technique is that you can lead them to the water but they don't have to drink fully in your presence. They can discover their own power and then run with it later!
Perfect, thanks Kelley

There can be many different reasons for her condition (inorgasmia?). I have treated this in the past with great success. Finding out what the associative factors are is always a preliminary step.

Enhancing orgasm capabilities is very easy with hypnosis, providing the associated factors (hidden restrictive beliefs or programming) have been dealt with. I have worked mostly with married couples, in which I give the husband a trigger word to help the process. (they always love that).

For those not in a relationship, I insist that they bring someone they trust to act as witness for the session, and I spell out exactly what will be done during the session before it ever starts so there are no surprises.

Hi RC,

On one hand, Female Sexual Dysfunction is pharmaceutical construct and on the other hand if a client believes that they have a disorder - they have a "disorder"

Couples can and do have orgasms during intercourse and it is fantastic to share that experience with another human being, but according to research 50-70% of women interviewed report that they can not achieve orgasm by penile penetration alone. According to research 19-68% of women interviewed reported lying about orgasm during sex. And guess what, about 20% of men interviewed are admitting to faking orgasms as well -- The most common reason men and women fake it is to make their partners feel better and/or to end the sex... I mention this because I believe that the widely held belief that most women are being satisfied by penile penetration alone fuels most of the "sexual frustration and unhappiness" that is so common in female clients with this "disorder"

The fact is that this Freudian BS is a "sacred cow", but as I pointed out: If your client believes the BS - she will suffer the consequences of her belief.

I recommend using your your intake/pre-talk for debunking that unrealistic expectation by explaining that Freud was anti-self pleasuring and viewed masturbation as unhealthy. He proclaimed that there were two kinds of orgasms -- There was the immature kind of orgasm one achieved via masturbation and the mature orgasm achieved by penile/vaginal intercourse-- Thus -- the myth was born that healthy couples came together during intercourse every time they had intercourse.

Switching gears - I open my clients minds to the belief that no two orgasms are the same in the same way that no two trances are the same--Thus feeding two birds with one seed... Every sexual and hypnotic experience is unique and when we help our clients put the wonder and joy of discovering how hypnosis can help them give, receive and share pleasure-- Orgasms Happen....Blah, blah, blah...
