Comment by Rob Jennings on July 12, 2012 at 7:20am Hi Rod,
A book I found good in the early days was Sport hypnosis :Author Donald Liggett. ISBN: 0-7360-0214-6.
Also there are some good sport psychlogy books out there, that will give you the beginning so that you will easily be able to construct your own powerful scripts to suit the individual athletes that come to see you.
I hope this has been of assistance to you. It is a wonderful area of hypnosis to be working in.
Cheers,
Cherie

Comment by Erni Relota on June 24, 2012 at 2:14pm I like very much to use metaphores in sport hypnosis, like: Become like a Cheetah, feel its energy flowing trough your body, feel what its like to be a mighty cheetah..becouse people have better asotiations to metaphores, you can make them feel better and get better involved in the energy they need to preform..

Comment by Barry Cridland on January 28, 2012 at 3:35pm Hi,
I have a 13 yr show jumper for a client who is unable to vocalise or feel when she is reaching that level of arousal to allow her to perform at her optimum level. She has trouble reaching that level and is too relaxed for competition. Anybody got any thoughts on how I can help her achieve higher levels of arousal/anxiety when working with her in the field?
Thanks,
Barry

Comment by George Guarino on March 4, 2011 at 12:29pm What is one sports performance suggestion that you find really works?
I love to use the one I learned through Steven Parkhill... "Let all muscles needed to ________ work in perfect harmony and unison... let all other muscles relax and move aside for a while." Or a variation of this.
This is especially great for golfers and tennis players. The little tension caused by muscles not needed for the activilty are what cause much of the trouble... so instruct them to relax and move aside (or let go).
