Kenrick Cleveland wrote the book "The Dark Side Manual".

Andvanced Modeling Strategies.

Smurfing - Use on someone uyou want to make go away. Simply imagine them shrinking until they are very small, becoming so cold they turn blue.

Submodality patterns.
No longer true.
-Put someone's self esteem or self concept in the no longer ture position.
-Put someone's relationship in the no longer true but used to be location.

This is done by using beliefs that are either presented by the subject or that you find yourself, this is pretty evil stuff.

Additional Nasty submodality Patterns, (the funny thing here is that he has written "Do not use" besides this.
Compulsion installer: Elicit the submodality of a compulsion that a person has. Then install more using the same submodalities. You can swish in things very close, very bright and leave them there.

Now this one is really nasty.

Drug addiction: Elicit the submodalities of a time a person did drugs. Get them fully assosiated into the state. Future pace being reminded of this nice state and link that to a compulsion.

Ambiguty patterns. (again the author has written "Very dangerous - DO NOT USE".)

I will only take small parts of this for copyright reason and that this really should'nt be available, this one is called "The sucide pattern"

"I don't know what's been going on inside your head lately. (Name). Prehaps you need to do some introspection. Prehaps you need to look deep down inside yourself........ *cut* Yeah (name). Take your own life.. and examin it." It goes on with other embedded commands as "out of a life" "this is all" and so on.

The book also contains a paranoia pattern.

The last one is called "The grand daddy of them all". ""The values destroyer."

1. Ask the question: "Whats something thats no longer true, but used to be?" Anchor their state when they blank out thinking that question.
2. Elicit the persons value for life - such as love, money, power, knowledge etc.
3. Name their values while firing the anchor.

wow its hard to believe that your letting everyone know this stuff many hypnotists seem to stay away from the "dark side" im not sure if any of this stuff works but if it does it looks like it can do some damage. i personally im interested in the potential of hypnosis and the mind so im also interested in how it can be used in the wrong way as well as the good ways just to have the knowlege
Well, its already out there in the internet. If people look in the right places, they will find it. It's healthy to know about these techniques.
It's worth mentioning that there are zero documented cases (that I am aware of) of anything actually harmful from this list ever working and that every professional hypnotist I have ever discussed this kind of work with agrees that it couldn't work the way readers are lead to believe.

It's a perverted intellectual exercise at best, and a massive marketing ploy to people with misguided intentions without the background to parcel out which of the techniques are possible and which aren't.

Classic controversy based marketing, which the author is famous for.

Is it healthy to know about these? Sure, if you have a balanced understanding of what hypnosis is and isn't and can dissect what is being done. If you are skeptical about going to a hypnotist to improve your quality of life and you run across this doing research then this information could be incredibly unhealthy.

I would respectfully challenge anyone to try these techniques on me. Hypnosis isn't a psychic power and it can't control others, especially in a way that is harmful to the subject. People marketing and selling these kinds of products aren't doing it with an altruistic intention of educating others. It's a predatory marketing tactic designed to take advantage of people's ignorance and fear related to hypnosis.

I have no problem with this information on this site, as long as there is a healthy discussion about the realities of this stuff instead of a fear mongering for publicity's sake.

Scott,

I have the greatest respect for you as a hypnotist and I wonder why you seem to assume that these techniques or others similar to them would not work? Does the universe have some anti-bad-things detector built into it to prevent this from working?

Hypnosis and NLP are very powerful tools, why would they not be possible to misuse?

Joe
I understand your viewpoint Scott.

But let's look at this deeper, with hypnosis/nlp, when i say hypnosis from now on i mean nlp techniques aswell.
You can create a bad feeling inside someone's mind, just as you can create that good feeling. Why do people get scared watching horrormovies? Good use of pictures and sound, the same can be made with hypnosis.

Now if you allow yourself to put someone in a authoritative position, and this person starts hypnotizing you, telling you how you should just relax, and suddenly you start to go deeper, and then the suggestions come, "once we have started this journey, you must finish it or damage could be done". Say you accept that suggestion. And then you feel "stuck" in the hypnosis, and the hypnotist is free to create whatever state s/he wants.

Now lets take an exmple from my post,
Submodality patterns.
No longer true.
-Put someone's self esteem or self concept in the no longer ture position.
-Put someone's relationship in the no longer true but used to be location.

Now I have actually done a technique with Aino earlier where she did a "belief change technique" on me, and it worked perfectly, now did it work just because I wanted it so bad to work? Maybe, maybe not.
Are you familiar with EMG? If so what do you think about his style???
i have heard of something called black ops hypnosis but im not sure what it is exactly i was guessing that it was covert hypnosis but used for doing evil things lol but im guessing that people here know exactly what it is. could you give an explaination on what black opps hypnosis is and why and how people use it if you know anythings about it?

also i have not heard much about this Kenrick Cleveland person is he any good in the hypnosis/nlp world or is he a fraud type of hypnotist im curious to know?
Hey Joe-

Misuse isn't the same thing as success.

I don't believe the universe has anything like that, but I do believe that humanity does have something along those lines. Our body and mind are self healing, self regulating machines. I would liken these techniques to a cold or virus. Yes, they could impact a person, but they would have the ability to naturally fight it off.

The metaphor probably extends to people with weakened immune systems, etc. which would be a fair comparison to people with fewer emotional or mental health resources being more susceptible to these kinds of things.

There are other x-factors though. The first is that it requires a tremendous amount of training to be able to do this kind of thing well, and then you would really need consistent conditioning and preferably isolation (a la Jim Jones). 99% of the time or more this perfect storm doesn't occur.

The real question goes to motive though. Why would anyone develop, promote, or distribute a technique that could be used to harm someone? A suicide script (assuming it worked) isn't going to be used in self defense against a robber. What is it good for then? Maybe there is a motive that I'm not thinking of, but I can't think of a healthy reason someone would invest so many resources into that kind of thing.

just a thought...
Scott
Well, at least one of these would engender a serious abreaction for me - the so-called "drug addiction" pattern. You see, I have an intensely and potentially deadly allergic reaction to a certain, very popular drug - Marijuana. My first exposure to it was in high school and the result of my merely walking into a room where someone was "partaking of the herb" was full-fledged anaphylactic shock, heart stoppage and respiratory cessation.

Needless to say, someone running that pattern on me would get a very different response that he or she would from someone who enjoys such things.

As to the so-called "suicide script" - I seriously doubt that it would work unless the individual already was fairly depressed as the survival instinct would kick in and, if the person actually figured out that someone was running such a pattern, would probably run a counter-pattern on the instigator... in the form of a punch in the schnozzola!

One of the problems with Mr. Cleveland's work, like many works on NLP, is that it presupposes that everyone is vulnerable TO such patterns, which is simply not the case.

If it was, than all of our clients would be healthy, muscular, happy, non-addicted and fully well-adjusted.

Quod Erat Demonstratum.

Lee Darrow, C.H.
The big drawback to a lot of NLP's claims is that they are not supported by scientific research. If one does a serious review of the literature in the academic side of the field, one sees numerous papers and even dissertations that refute and/or seriously diminish the claims made by the practitioners of NLP and DHE.

Yes, a person can be talked into something, generally speaking. However, long-term change, especially of core identity issues, is much more difficult than NLP practitioners would lead the public to believe.

While NLP does have some very good points, especially on rapport building, their claims on long-term (and even much of the short-term) changes have been vastly overstated as shown by the vast majority of competent studies done in the peer-reviewed journals out there.

Respectfully,

Lee Darrow, C.H.
black ops hypnosis is much like what you see discussed here how ever it uses technological techniques
such that the "victim" hears the voice as a voice in there head... a voice from which there is no escape...

as for the technology its basically like a silent sound unfortunately not easily researched with out a lot of disinformation
on stuff like haarp http://www.holosonics.com/ is an example of directional sound.. and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bone_conduction note bone conduction sound does sound like your hearing voices from inside your head...

there is a perfect video of this being used in a library on youtube how ever i can not find it

How can you exactly make your client hear your voice as a voice in their head? It seems to be very interesting.
