Does anyone else here experience this during sessions? Although a part of me is keeping track of time and making sure that our work culminates within a certain time period, I have become aware that most of me is off, playing in la-la land with the client.

By the end of the day, after several clients, I emerge and leave my office, blinking into the sunlight (hey, it's still summertime!), feeling like I just lost a day. Although I love my work and find it rewarding, that little touch of loss stings.

I suppose I should feel grateful that my workday passes so quickly, but it's still a weird feeling. Any tips from the more seasoned pros?

:)

I had to work on detachment in the beginning, at the time I was deeply involved in Zen and asked one of the monks about this: He told me to practice being a part and not being a part, by and don’t laugh, but to put one foot in the bathtub of water and the other on the floor and tell myself that this is what I am, a part and not a part. Took me about 3 months to see a difference but (no joke) it worked.

I've spent a lot of energy into creating specified time-distortion trances, for diverse purposes.
While speeding up time, in working with your client's spend some expanded time while between working with them, so you can enjoy that much of your day!
