On the other hand, if you're trying to teach someone how to relax themselves for stress related issues, relax-o-therapy might be good (this is just my opinion).

Or are you discussing simple guided imagery?
Do you mean older style clinical hypnosis methods vs speed-trance?
If you do, both have their place and time.

Permalink Reply by hypno-tyez on December 2, 2010 at 5:36am It depends on who is doing it--
I would hope that hypnosis professionals can use each approach effectively and would decide on the best approach for the client that they are assisting.
Permalink Reply by hypno-tyez on December 2, 2010 at 5:38am When I host a clinical session and perhaps I am making a recording, supplying an MP3 of my work for reinforcement pirposes, I use more traditional clinical methods.
In later sessions, in public demos to blow minds, the beginnings of my stage shows, street hypnosis, all Speed-Trance technique nowadays.
Both have their place.
The idea is to get the people you are working with into a deep state of trance, open their minds to suggestion and get the results you seek to achieve.
For example, there are many types of cars, and many ways to get someplace, their idea is getting their safely, quickly or slower, all are credible.
However, for a post session touch up (adding something else into the subconscious mix), or anything else speed is called for, since we have Speed-Trance as a tool in our toolbox, then why not> Just as long as we keep it fair and safe.
If the person is in feeble health, with back and neck issues, well then go traditional.
This said, since Speed-Trance takes so much less time, is is a really fast way to generate long lasting change, quickly.
Personally, I do a great deal quickly with Speed-Trance, whether it be clinical, a demo, street trance, or a show.

I have recently achieved my inventing over 24 Speed-Trance Inductions,
There are great many other people here doing similar things here and elsewhere.
