Welcome back Indiana, soon!
As of July 1, 2010 the law, the Indiana Hypnotist Certification Act will be repealed.
Which means of that date, we are back in business there.
Please remember that date all!

hi john, what EXACTLY is the law in indiana ? i have seen some goofy laws with hidden agendas over the years, no mask except on holloween in ky ( kkk ) no psychics in ill. ( keep out gypsys ) and the list goes on.
the ill. law was squashed when the lawyer for participants at a psychic fair were arrested, demanded all weathermen, stock brokers, poll takers, etc. be arrested also for predicting the future. havent quite figured out why eating pickles in church is illegal.tho....lol

I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV, LOL
As I understood it, they passed some sort of consumer based law that one couldn't practice clinical Hypnosis, unless one had graduated a state approved school. Here's the kick, there was only ONE state approved school, and it went out of business. So basically, there was a ban on Clinical Hypnosis there. Then, I had also heard stories about the state thinking all Hypnosis, like Stage Hypnosis was also Clinical. So to a greater or lesser extent, there was a ban there.
There were attempts to overturn the law, judges wouldn't deal with it.
Now, better news, the law is repealed as of that date, and that date ONLY.
