Do you Skype? It would be easier to explain what I do for marketing over the phone.

Im doing a corporate show tommorow night, but will be available Friday - Sunday daytimes if that works for you..

Hi Tommy,

 

When it comes to fund raisers and selling tickets, how does that work? Do "I" make the tickets they sell? Do "they" make the tickets they sell. How do you handle that?

Here's my experience. Most of my shows are a flat fee basis. I do some shows where my fee is based on attendance (the door). In all instances, the client has provided the tickets. I have provided promo materials (posters). They also handle the sales.

Hi Debbie,

Im doing the "Ticket Split" option for our 10 date tour starting next week - I make the tickets, posters and give them an event planning guide book. They sell the tickets for us.

 

I also do online event marketing on free event listing sites and send press releases to radio and TV.

 

So far this month due to these efforts Ive done 2 TV appearances, been featured on an 11 oclock newscast and did 3 morning show radio interviews. These venues saw that I was willing to make their events successful and helped me in return.

 

I know this may seem like a lot of work to the veterans but I'm taking a page from my rock & roll days and getting out there, building my business and establishing myself.

If you want it, you'll do whats necessary to get it. :-)
