Oh Ricky, I would cut down on all of the really lengthy text, and make it cleaner and easier to read.  Also, people want to know about benefits, not features.  And last but not least, cut down on the confusing text...

Ricky, if I were you, I would ditch that logo.  Also, next time you are going to get a domain - STOP, and think about it first.  A year ago I bought www.disguisethelimit.org because of a catchy phrase I had heard (The skys the limit, this guys the limit, disguise the limit).  While its cool and catchy, no one searched for disguisethelimit.  As soon as I got www.hawaiihypnosis.org, I started to get more visitors.

Also, get rid of the "wordpress pages" ie, suggest ideas, forum, etc.  Those are just additionals ways for people to leave your website.

Personally, I would get rid of the membership pages until you have something on them.

And last but not least, offer a free download, then go to www.mailchimp.com and setup a free newsletter service.

The sidebars - you can add stuff via the Widgets menu under appearances.  Instead of just giving away the goodies for free, I would suggest that you give some stuff away in exchange for people registering for a newsletter.  This has two purposes:

  1. You can get more potential clients.  People are busy now a days, and some may need a reminder of the services that you provide.  With a newsletter you can direct people back to your site automatically via an email that gets sent out to all of your subscribers
  2. You can let people know of new free stuff that you have uploaded.

You may be able to make the free stuff page password protected and let people know when they register for the newsletter that they will get the password for the page.  Then anytime when you upload a new free gift, just send out an email via mailchimp (or any other newsletter service).  By the way, you can also make it easier on yourself by having someone setting it up so that you can have blog posts from lets say a "free stuff" category show up on the free stuff page.  Then you can have each one of these blog posts password protected.  Once they register they can get access to them.

There are multiple options available for you.

If you're on skype add me and I can help with some of the wordpress stuff.

Hi Antonio,

Thank you for the great feedback, I've tried adding a sidebar, but just can't seem to get the hang of it.  Everytime I add it, I lose something. Well I've included a Free Stuff page. My specialties are weight loss, depression and addiction. Those are the type of clients I get. I would love to add a video as you can tell from my free stuff page I had to go over to another page to add audio. Just can't seem to that either for some reason. Any suggestions on how to add sidebar or audio in wordpress would be great.

many thanks,

Jagi, I like that wordpress theme you are using.  Its nice, clean and simple.  Three things I would suggest are:

  1. Possibly having a video in the sidebar at the right - You can welcome people to the site and explain hypnosis, offer a free gift, etc.
  2. On the hypnosis links page you can use some affiliate links if you would like to bring in some additional cash.  If its a product/service you believe in, there really isn't a problem.  I know Cal Banyan has an affiliate program, and I believe Hunter does as well.
  3. Offer some sort of free download - maybe a simple stree session, guided imagery, etc.  Then use a newsletter service such as mailchimp.com to offer a free gift for signing up.  Mailchimp's free service allows you to have up to 1,000 subscribers and send out I believe 6,000 emails a month.

By the way, what are your specialities?

Antonio
