Reach out we did and neither ice nor snow kept the FourTuned™Minds from celebrating the 2010 World Hypnotism Day with clients and friends at The Self Center in Winchester, MA. There were lights, sound and action thanks to Mark Smith from VDA Productions... A champagne toast, chocolate covered strawberries, then a live presentation of "FourTuned™ for a Whirlwind of Well Being."
"FourTuned™ so different is the quartet of soothing voices combined creating what amounts to a hypnotic symphony The four voices ebb and flow seamlessly ... " Roch D. Preite BCH

What a way to ring in the new year. Read what our guests had to say:

Pearlan,

"I have attended every one of your World Hypnotism Day Events, all six and counting on the next. I know this is a very special day for you and your colleagues, but you need to know how special you make us all feel as you warm us with your welcome, pamper us with libations and lull us into a state of relaxation with your words! This year, the FourTuned words combined with the original FourTuned music plus the lighting was beyond expectations. Snow or no snow, I would not have missed it for the world. Thank you for opening The Self Center to us all as we joined in to celebrate World Hypnotism Day. Thank you to Lucinda, Beth, Mona and YOU. Save my seat for next year!"

Pearlan, Lucinda, Beth and Mona,

Another year of being a part of the World Hypnotism Day Event and I want more. Thank you all for providing such a great afternoon to those of us who managed to make it regardless of the snow and ice. It was so worth it. I went home feeling TRANSFORMED as your words continue to play on my mind. I love the idea of the non-hypnotic CD of FourTuned that can be listened to as I drive. Thanks again for such an uplifting day of relaxation!"

WHD 2010 Participants reaching out to their health care communities may find this peer reviewed article is a helpful resource-

Hipnosis in Disability Settings
by
Michael Ellner*
Robert Aurbach**
Abstract
Hypnosis is an excellent intervention tool for the treatment of injured
and ill workers with respect to learned helplessness, disability behavior
and many of the physical and emotional symptoms experienced by injured
workers. Assistance with stress and coping with external stressors, chronic
pain, insomnia, depression and fostering a positive mental attitude are all
well documented applications of hypnosis. A self-hypnosis training regi-
men offered by properly trained and certified hypnosis professionals offers
an opportunity for a brief and measurable intervention, resulting in a
likelihood of positive impact on the injured or ill worker, with none of the
risks traditionally associated with psychological intervention in workers’
compensation cases.

Start sending now James... and follow up a few times between now and the event. One big mistake people make is waiting too long... in any type of marketing. Make the media and the public aware and then remind them... more than once.

I have an event scheduled for WHD and was curious when would be a good time to for me to send a press release to the local weekly and daily newspapers?
Colleen Comment by Colleen on November 25, 2009 at 6:31pm
Tom,
No luck. I will just start by contacting others in the area and go from there. I have a few resources so I will see what I can come up with. If you have any other info that would be great!
Thanks,
Colleen

I was wanting to host WHD in British Columbia any advice would be really great. I've already spoken to our library and they don't rent out rooms, but our local recreation center does, but for this, there is a cost involved, which I don't have a problem with. I was wondering how I would get the word out to many people as possible. Should I do a guided meditation session at this time or not as well.

One suggestions is to Google serach the person's name with the word hypnosis, find their personal / business website and get contact info from there.
