Thanks Joe -- I'm processing this now. John, for the sake of my bookmarks, can you spell out your model of the mind (it's an idea I like and am keen to hear more about). Also - any other takers? C…

Adrian, I’ve been missing your posts. Here are two of the theoretical frameworks I draw on: Wolinsky (Trance Identity) Gilligan (Self-Relations) Here are two of the ideas I draw on: We don’t really know most things we think we know. Everything is…

I didn't spell out my model's reason how and why we can facilitate change, let me do that now for just a few of them. Memory is where we record what we have experienced, it is bookmarked by the emotions we experienced when past events took place. T…

Joe, I am in accord with your work in dealing with unresolved issues. Adrian, in my practice I use Metaphysical Hypnotherapy techniques to uproot non-conscious associations. This is a work in progress and I plan to reveal much more by year's end of…

Michael, your premise: "every cell in our being is bio-engineered to learn and change" is wonderfully stated. Dr.Charles Skillas teaches that all disease is caused by improper functioning of cells in the body. He further says that the operation of…

Hi Adrian, Nice to see you posting -- I believe and operate on the belief that every cell in our being is bio-engineered to learn and change -- I help clients move into mindsets that promote rapid learning and changing. When I help a client change…

Sure Adrian, In my model, the mind is made up of three separate parts that work together like a muscle group. The Analytical mind: It is our interface to the outside world, and it analyzes the input received and determines what is real and what is…

My clients can't change because of not-conscious (hence not consciously controllable most of the time) patterns that are running (emotions, sensations, and thoughts). Those automatic not-conscious patterns are generated by associations, beliefs, an…

Hi John, Keep your knickers on. I do not post details about real client's problems on the Internet: I share my experience in the most general of terms only. Where it might be helpful to specify a particular detail, then timescales, genders, and pr…

I really like the way you've broken this down into it's component parts: they reflect his story as you told it in your original post, in that one thing lead to another... I'd say your last entry (the resulting terribly low self-esteem) is both a re…

It's ace in these old videos how therapist and client smoke through the therapy sessions (I guess 'cause people just smoked everywhere back then). I'd love to just sit smoking with my clients whilst we chewed the fat and whatnot. Times change thou…

What are you looking for on this site?
Well, I like to collect anonymous people's avatars from the internets?! ;-)

Seriously though, I hope to exchange ideas and contacts, build future collaborations and simply just get to know some new people.

So please leave me a message, I always love to hear from friendly people!
Areas of Specialty:
I agree with Gil Boyne when he states that the root-cause of all presenting issues is the belief "I'm not good enough". Above all I specialise in helping people realise that they are... :-)
About Me:
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my profile. I'm a hypnotherapist and Master NLP Practitioner (whatever that is supposed to be...) working in Manchester (UK). Also, I am training to be a psychotherapist. I really enjoy working with people and I'm very lucky to have found this role in life.

You see - to me, the most important thing is freedom. The freedom to be yourself; the freedom to live without restriction. In my ideal world, we would exist unchained from poverty, oppression, and mass-manipulation. Perhaps we're too easily distracted by (non)celebrity gossip, or buying sh!t that we don't need, to realise our true worth.

(Hint: it is infinite!)

And... I love my job! It doesn't really feel like a job, more of a vocation. To an extent, it defines who I am. When it comes to the phenomenon that is hypnosis, I love reading about it, learning about it, doing it. It is fair to say I am at least part geek... ;-)

You can read more at my blog: http://adriantannock.com - I use it to explore hypnosis, NLP, self-development and spirituality - all things that are important to me... Check it out and drop me a line!

Cheers,

Adrian
Hobbies:
hypnosis and NLP, wasting time on the Internet, reading - mostly non-fiction, playing / watching football, daoism (is daoism a hobby?), chess, martial arts, erm... pr0n?*

Faster Alan. In my opinion this induction is Only useful in a stage or demonstration situation and as such it's simply more dramatic if you do it with a lot more energy! ;-)

Sadly to a point you are right Richard. You can be a so-so un-entertaining stage hypnotist and draw people. However although that's great in a tourist town say like Vegas where it will be 12 months or more before people return, in a more home town s…

For those who might wish for unlimited downloads... Try MegaUpload; I believe the downloads there do not time out, and all one needs to do as with YSI is to post the link here.
