About Me:

In his role as a highly sought after professional hypnotist, Jake routinely mesmerizes his clients, and as host of Mental Self Defense Radio he breaks listeners free of the trance of helplessness foisted upon by big government and big business.

Jake is currently the Vice-Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Utah and the author of 'Anomaly: Revolutionary Knowledge in Everyday Life', 'TEA-O-CONNED: The Hijacking of Liberty in America', 'Say Uncle! Catch-As-Catch-Can Wrestling & Roots of Ultimate Fighting, Pro-Wrestling, and Modern Grappling', and 'The Hypnotist: Healer, Head Hacker, & Headliner'.

Previously, Jake was a Vice-President in the reverse mortgage industry's leading analytics consultancy. Additionally, Mr. Shannon earned his Master of Science in Financial Engineering designation in 2002 from Golden Gate University and his B.A. in English from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Jake is also a respected grappling historian and coach that has worked with some of the biggest names in Mixed Martial Arts. Jake Shannon lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and two children.
