I helped them install a "volume switch" and a "mute-button" so they could turn it down gradually, or just mute the whole darn "sound".
As a diabetic I've learned that "it's my body, and even when not working fully functional, it is still MY body, and I am in charge of it."
This insight, combined with NLP and self-hypnosis has more than once helped me in tough moments.
When I really learned what Tinnitus was, I saw a connexion to auditory hallucination, and with that thought, started using "negative auditory hallucination" to stop it.
Well I have been working as a Hatha yoga teacher, for 10years, and teaching multiple meditation-techniques for 14 years.
I was using guided meditation a lot, and one day found that my whole room of students were in a deep hypnotic trance.
I then started study on this subject.
I digested most of the work of Richard Bandler, because I find his attitude to fit my own and learned a bunch from it. It was such an impact on my own thinking, that I had to learn it for myself, and I modeled what I came across.
After a short while I called some friends and started to experiment with them, having lots of fun, doing hypnosis, and realizing this "tool" was a magnificent addition to my healing-"toolbox".
I started going to classes, workshops, seminars on the subject and after a while, found that I could keep up with all of the dutch hypnotists I encountered.
This is what made me decide to make it my profession.
You told me that you had Tinnitus.
Can you tell me some more about that?
How you overcame it is of much interest to me, because I found a hypnotic "cure" for it, on account of a good friend of mine.
So thank you, for your article!!!
