Thankyou for your kind words.
Yes, just as in the pre-talk for stage hypnosis I do believe the pre-talk for therapy is as important. Indeed more so.
There are books all over that talk of this but tom be honest I always simply use my own. In as much as I tell them I'm not interested in their problem at the moment (smiles, always with smiles!) but I really need to know if we can work together. I then explain that I ALWAYS prefer to test the client first to ascertain how good their imagination, focus and concentration are. I then ask them outright if they consider that they have a good imagination, remembering to ask if they SEE in their imagination. Then I say: "Right then, lets do some stuff..." and do some set pieces.
It's funny you ask really as I'm writing a book on this stuff at the moment with an accompanying DVD which I hope to put out in 2011. So do stay in touch. LOL.
