It's been ages since I even came to this site mainly because I have gone back to school to get my Master's Degree as a Therepist specializing in Gender Studies. Unfortunately for me only 63 credits from my previous schools were actually accepted, apparently Paralegal studies and Real Estate studies don't seem to apply towards a BA in Psychology (grin). So I'm back at being a Soph in college at our local community college but I will be transfering to ASU (Arizona State University) come July…

Back in October I started working with a client in relation to some sexual issues she had. She would come once a week and we were progressing nicely. Then in Dec she canceled but scheduled for the first of the year. Since then each week she has scheduled an appt but then canceled.

So yesterday I was working with a Smoking Cessation Client and was using a technique that I learned where you have the person imagine that they are a 6 year old little girl or boy. In my case since my client was female a 6 year old little girl. Now the idea here is to have her imagine herself as a 6 year old little girl wearing a very special pretty dress or sweater or something that she had been given as a present and then say now as an adult you know how silly it would look if you came out… Continue

I am trying to write a "story" for a client that I am working on to stop her from smoking. However, I keep getting "carried away" trying to put too much in and not wording it like I know it needs to be worded. New Computer

Excited because I purchased a new computer yesterday after my old one took a royal dump. Tried to reformat the old one even but it wouldn't even let me do that so went out and got the puter I've been wanting for a couple of years now. So learning how all of the new bits-n-bobs work on it. It's a HP TouchSmart. It's fun being able to use both the mouse or my finger to move from screen to screen.

Steve Andrade said… - I thought it was a good subject to learn from and I knew it wasn't what you were going for. I was at work and was going to comment to what I thought you were going for, and when I got home, I couldn't find the discussion, I had a confused moment.
I think you were going for: If someone did come in with the same problem the girl presumably had, this would be a good opportunity to get or be prepared, and was asking advice about that preparation. Still I thought there was information that others may have learned from regarding therapist and clients and what it is we really should or should not be doing.
It was interesting how I could feel the frustration in your writing.
I hope you're ok now, I'm dancing with my dog and my dog is leading....how about now?
