....I suppose you could theorise that coffee, because of it's caffeine content, may impair your ability to be hypnotised.   I must say that Ziziphus sounds interesting to me, I find it hard to calm my mind and relax. I am going to…

100% truth I don't think anyone thought different The herb I show dose not hypnotize no one it can only create a good atmosphere that can help stress people to relax Then it's easier to hypnotize them I my self don’t use it because I…

I think there is a lot a misunderstanding going on here between certain drugs that create altered states and hypnosis. Just because a drug, any drug or herb, even "safe" ones, creates an altered state that does not make…

I guess I'm the somewhat dissenting voice one more time.  I tend to see that we create expectations by experiencing them, then recognizing and identifying them, so that now we can create/experience them at will. If I slip in the rain, I…

You could also purchase a self-hypnosis CD or DVD to help show you different methods. I'm sure there are some for sale up on the HypnoThoughts store and many of our colleagues websites. Some work better than others depending on…

Hi, The way to increase your positive beliefs and expectations is to utilize them--  Create a resouce state that draws on any and all of your positive beliefs and experiences. When I do X - I expect to do it well and I do! When I do Y - I…

Increasing/Producing Positive Expectations and Beliefs

Many think that depth is the only proper gauge to measure if a hypnotic session was successful ornot. I know understand that expectations and beliefs play a crucial role in the hypnotic phenomena; tothe extent that proper beliefs and expectation are SOME of the  deciding variable that make a hypnoticsession effective. I need some tips and advice on how to increase my own positiveexpectations/beliefs for my self hypnosis sessions since I have not yet been seeing any real changesor differences…See More

The one idea I'd like to add, Richard, is that I believe that it might be easier to re-create an experience that you've already had than it would be to re-create one that you have no prior experience of. I read an article a long time ago…

Why would you want to use any kind of drugs in the hypnotice process? Therapists have successfully used hypnosis for many years and achieved incredible success without resorting to drugs. They are just not necessary.   Also relaxation has…

I doubt there are any drugs that *only* aid or hinder the hypnotic process. As with all things in life, there are trade-offs. Stimulants might make a subject able to focus better, but would make it harder for them to relax. Depressants make it…

In your scenario, all you have is the effects of the drugs.. with minimal or no hypnosis. The reason why is because hypnotic trance is about a mental state enabling automatic reaction to input, not willful compliance. In order to have automatic…

In high school, when I was offered various drugs, I always said, "I'm weird enough already." Drugs have been used to induce trance/visions for millenia--many shamanic traditions use them. That said, drugs really aren't…
