- Carla Malan received a B.A. Social Dynamics from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, triple majoring in Psychology, Sociology and English. She is enrolled in graduate level psychology courses at Harvard University, has served as a psychology doctoral research assistant at the Museum of Science in Cambridge, and has completed a Harvard Business Writing, and Journalism course.
Inspired by her grandfather's use of hypnotherapy as an adjunct to his dentistry practice in the 1970's-1980's, Carla further pursued her passion for the mind by attending the world renowned Hypnotherapy Training Institute in Corte Madera, CA, completing all 6 Levels of Certification in order to achieve certification as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (C.C.HT.)
Hemisphere Hypnotherapy™, founded and owned by Carla Malan, is recognized by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, the National Guild of Hypnotists, the International Association of Counselors and Therapists - in alliance with the International Alliance of Professional Hypnotists and the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association; and is committed to continued education, and research in the field of hypnotherapy, as an active member of The International Hypnosis Research Institute.
