Why wait? If you have made the decision trash the stash. It is both symbolic and real. Very much like removing a part and replacing it with a better and designed part. I was a smoker many years ago and getting rid of all tobacco products and…

I came to hypnosis in a rather interesting route. My initial introduction was for performance and stress management and it was a wonderful and successful experience. Some years later a family crisis had me interested in the mind body connection and how it affects our health. Hypnosis once again provided some great answers, all be it too late in respect to the reason I returned to it.Then came my business consulting work and the ability to help people cope with and accelerate change was…See More

Great discussion. My initial reaction is why is he there to try hypnosis? I want clients who are with me to use hypnosis as a tool to achieve their goals. If he is there to try it he's there to fail. Use the pre-talk to discover if he is there…

Hypnosis induced inebriation - Is this a risk to alcoholics?

Thumbnail
I have in my party tricks kit the ability to very quickly bring on a state of "drunkenness" in a person but wonder about the affect this may have on an alcoholic. We do not always know who in a group may have hidden issues or conditions and I would hate to trigger a negative after effect, in this scenario, an alcoholic binge. As a responsible hypnotist I accept it is my responsibility to screen participants and to ensure all suggestions from the event are removed prior to leaving only the agreed…See More

Chris,
I would like to come and meet with some others with like interests. If you could give me those details that would be great.
I replied the other day but I don't know what I did- that message seems to have gone off into the ether somewhere.
With regards your idea for a library of hypnosis info - I don't have any personal knowledge. I have been to a couple of information evenings at the Relaxation Center. They have set up a borrowing library so I was wondering if they might be able to give you some ideas. It was several years ago but they may even have some resources worth looking at. Brisbane City Council library doesn't have much, but they do have an interesting book on the history of hypnosis.

Russ

Thanks Chris. I would be interested in coming along. If you would send some details that would be great
With regards your idea about a lending library I don't personally have much knowledge of that type of setup but I attended a few sessions at the Relaxation Center some time back and they had a lending library. I'm sure they would be willing to share some details on how their system works.

Hi, Chris -- I'm in the same position as you were in March with a client with cluster headaches. With all of the suggestions in the thread, what did you find worked the best?

Thanks for sharing,
