Conrad Adams, DNM, PhD replied to Scott Sandland's discussion Let's settle this like gentlemen...
"Glad to see you take this stand, Scott.  It's okay to have a difference of opinion, but to argue and waste the time and energy of others is inappropriate.  Keep up your usual good work!  It was good to visit with you in Daytona!"

Conrad, I just read your reply on William Mitchell's page. I'm glad that you and Jenifer are okay. I haven't heard from any of my LHO friends in NO, Lafayette, or BR. I had assumed that everyone was still evacuated or cleaning up.

Conrad, welcome and it's about time...... I hope through this forum more people come to understand what you are attempting to do for our profession by raising educational standards and fostering an agreement between hypnosis organizations to form a basic standard level or training for hypnotherapists. Our profession will continue to languish until we have a basic level of educational standards and a basic core curriculum that EVERY hypnotherapist has to prove competency in before they can get certified. The time for educational standards is overdue. If you go back to my original posts/rants about hypnosis organizations from last year on this site you will read that the majority of people wanted higher educational standards from hypnosis schools. Hypnosis schools will not improve their standards unless all the certifying boards require higher standards. There should be minimum standards in both hours and curriculum across all organizations. And, that minimum should NOT be merely a weekend or even a week long class or, heaven forbid, an on-line training program without hands on supervision.

Sorry for the rant. I know I'm preaching to the choir on this board. I guess the question should be, "How do we make this change go viral?"
