The subject for this discussion actually came up in the comments of my blog (Diary of a New Hypnotist in the blogs section - check it out!) but it's a funny anecdote and a warning all in one, so I…Continue

There's not a ton going on this week in your trusty New Hypnotist's world. I'm 2 weeks from my training course and I haven't bought any new hypno-products, so there's not anything along those lines to discuss at this point.
I thought I'd dedicate this weekly update to some observations I've had over the past couple weeks.

First of all, I want to take the opportunity to thank the members of this community that have commented on my previous blog posts and have offered encouragement, guidance and feedback. I don't know if you have any idea how much it means to somebody new to this profession that so many seasoned professionals take time out of their day to respond to my little ol' blog posts. I also cherish the fact that this blog series so far has been useful to many commenters who are in the same situation I…

Background
I think the desire to help people is in my blood. When I was little, my mom was a volunteer on the local ambulance service, and I watched her go to school and become a nurse as I grew up. I grew up in an environment where helping people with their problems, whether as a volunteer or otherwise, was sort of the norm in my household. My mom's friends were EMT's or Paramedics, my…
