Dan Elliott replied to CindyLou's discussion 'Hypnoband "surgery" for weight loss'
Hi CindyLou. I just came across your post, and like you I was looking for a process for 'hypnoband' hypnosis. Once again, I'm both amazed and disheartened to witness the parsimonious way in which many of we hypnotherapists 'hang…

Dan Elliott replied to Samuel Lurie's discussion 'Dealing with No-Shows and late cancellations' in the group How to build a private practice!
My advice Samuel? Live with it. Due to the work that we're involved in, many of our clients are dysfunctional by nature, and will cancel, be late or simply 'not show' for appointments. Also, keeping in my mind that we use hypnosis as…

Dan Elliott replied to AJ's discussion 'Did Freud Fail at Hypnosis Because of Substance Abuse?'
I may have been misled, but many years ago I read that Freud stopped using hypnosis due to the fact that he had developed a cancerous growth in his mouth, quite possibly caused, or exacerbated by, those awful little cigars he smoked…

Dan Elliott replied to GIL BOYNE's discussion 'SEX ABUSE CLAIMS REJECTED'
I can relate to the negative issues related to repressed memory, and we certainly do not want to go back to the dark days of the 1980's, but as for: "Dr. Naish contrasted Mr. McCann's studies with those of an Open University student…

Dan Elliott replied to John Tolles's discussion 'making a living? just how likely?'
Speaking from an Australian perspective, I know of no Hypnotherapist who would earn +3k within their first six months of kicking off in a private, full time practice. In fact, the only really LARGE money earners within Australia are those who teach…

Dan Elliott replied to Scott Sandland's discussion 'HypnoPedia: What's Up With it?'
Hugh, you make some great points there, many I agree with in totality. There seems to be an ongoing concern amongst these responses related to different perspectives and definitions of and about hypnosis/hypnotherapy. Surely, a wiki style site is a…

Dan Elliott replied to Scott Sandland's discussion 'HypnoPedia: What's Up With it?'
Scott, I actually think it's a brilliant concept, in the same as all other wiki style resources. The wiki process is by design a very clever way of teasing out truthful facts, especially with a subject like hypnosis which is still evolving, as…

THE REWIND technique

Posted on July 22, 2009 at 6:05pm 3 Comments

Hi everyone.

Does anyone out there have a layout/text that describes the REWIND TECHNIQUE, which I believe is really an NLP process, but for our intents and purposes is basically Hypnotherapy.

It's used mainly with PTSD and other traumatic memories.

I'd be grateful.

Regards,
Dan.
