As a smoker who successfully quit after a multi -session treatment of hypnotherapy, I continue to be amazed at how little notice the established stop smoking organisations in the UK take of hypnotherapy and have been in contact with ASH, New leaf and various governmental departments and organisations.They inform me that I as a hypnotherapist cannot be part of ANY government funded stop smoking initiative as hypnotherapy has never met the recognised criteria for being an effective treatment.i.e…See More

Having been in Africa and Asia doing expedition development work with challenged young people, I wanted to know more about why that worked and all the answers came with hypnosis

It's no problem for me to go through the NHS resources, although it can be time consuming.

A friend of mine who is also a practitioner recently (within the last 12mths) had a 100% success rate with, I forget whether it was 10 or 11 office workers. She would be worth talking to about smoking cessation as she certainly seems to have a flair for it! I'll ask her to have a look at this discussion when she joins the forum (hopefully this evening).
