Since I often have problems with "the numbers," I have started doing something that Elman would occasionally do....using days of the week or months of the year.

About Me:
I have had an interest in hypnosis since I saw a stage show at eight years old. I studied everything I could find, which was not much until the internet came along. I got trained and certified at Omni Hypnosis in 1998 and I continue to learn about our profession.
I teach basic hypnosis for certification with NGH. It was an interesting and challenging exercise in bureaucracy just getting the Okla. license as a private vocational school.
I have never done hypnosis full time. My day job is servicing and installing medical computers.
My wife is a full time hypnotherapist.
Hi Don,
Yep, working in movies is a lot of fun, but your job, working with medical imaging, is a lot more stable! lol
Your idea is a good one, but I unfortunately don't have any input on the stories for the movies, at least currently. I just follow their scripts. Maybe you should write a move with a hypnotist as the hero?
Many directors have said, "It's boring to show real hypnosis." It is kinda tedious unless it's either stage-style or "Hollywoodized." "Stir of Echos," in which the hypnotist isn't really the "bad guy," uses some interesting visual techniques to depict hypnosis from inside the subject's mind. It's worth checking out.
Thanks Don I try to do what I can I absolutly LOVE hypnosis and everything about it... I am still learning but so far this is the best place I 've found to do so....
Best wishes in all endevours
Amanda
Phoenix and the Valley has a good group of hypnotherapists... true. The ASPH boasts a membership roster of over 150 right now and that doesn't begin to cover the other hypnotists that aren't a part of our membership. This is a great group to be with...
Thanks for your reply. There is no shortage of information, that much is for sure. The problem is sorting the good from the bad. Some will have you believe you can learn everything in a weekend all the way to the ones that believe you must have a Phd. MD, or DO before you can be effective. There is also the issue of what certifications are worth anything and which ones actually devalue the paper that they are printed on.
I did see that you and your wife teach. My wife is pre-med and travels to Stillwater five days a week so money is a big issue, but perhaps when she closer to being finished I can come and check out what you have to offer.
