By the way, even if you don't believe my friend was able to intervene psychically, there's still the issue of the clairvoyance to clear up.
No matter; those who choose to can just "pretend harder" that psychic phenomena do NOT…
People who have a life experience for which dissociation was a coping skill tend towards somnambulism. People who were hypnotized as teenagers or young adults, also. There may be other groups, but those two for sure.
Cheers!
Ok, ok... I'll make a serious contribution...
Placebo effect accounts for about 40-44 percent symptom relief when included in most drug studies. In other words, about 40 percent of the patients receiving the placebo treatment report abatement…
Kind of ironic, isn't it, that one of the most effective tools of hypnosis is the use of metaphor, and here is a term being used to describe hypnosis metaphorically. Does that make the non-believers applying the term hypnotists, or hypno-crites?
Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce (1945) Holmes & Watson, on the trail of a serial killer, find themselves confronted by an evil female hypnotist with Moriarty behind the fiendish plot. Watson gets hypnotized with a spiral at a public hypnosis event early on, and Holmes is drugged and hypnotized by the attractive temptress before the thrilling climax.See More

I add my thanks to the others here for the reminder to be civil.
I was on alt.hypnosis about 10 years ago, and it was just as Roy said. The flame posts began to take up about 70% of the content (or more, if you didn't filter it) The posters…

If I seem slow to respond or absent from functions here, it's because I'm most likely writing lesson plans or grading papers. Believe me, there's nothing I like more than talking about or practicing hypnosis. It's a very spiritual connection and release for me. I have a few business cards out there, and now and then book an appointment, but it's nowhere near fulltime. I have a partner who is an extremely talented psychic, and together we're a dynamite therapeutic team, but the phone just isnt ringing. What would it be like to have marketing skills, I wonder? Perhaps I should devote a few more moments that direction each day.
Hobbies:
Religion, philosophy, psychology, cultural anthropology, quantum physics, paranormal studies, collective consciousness, self-directed evolution, and eye reading.

Chistmas was the "usual" for here in Ocala - a little on the cool side (the high was in the upper 60's), and Gayle & Shay were here for dinner/gifts. Hope you had a great Christmas, too. hugs!
I love the Incarnations of Immortality series! Wonderful stories and insights to seemingly random events in the lives of mere mortals. Anthony had quite a broad scope for writing.
Since Elman, I've gotten through quite a lot of Trance Formations by Bandler, and I've just ordered and received a medical marketing book by Melissa J. Roth, and Hypnotic Scripts That Work by Cerbone.
Thank you for your recommendations...It's great to find a fellow fantasy fan!
Window to the soul. Hi Greg. I have noticed that when looking into another persons eyes I cant look into both at the same time. I almost always settle on their left eye. Then after a short time I dont need to look them in the eye anymore except to project that I am paying attenton to what they are saying or to search for clues to weather they are pulling my leg for entertainment. Ths happens often. I seem fairly acurate when detecting pure entertainment value if the conversation. I have 3 pics posted from different times in my life. Would you like to see whats there in the eye? I like this eye study. Thanks Pete
Okay, I added a picture to my page - maybe it will be easier to use? It's still posed, and I tend to end up with tilted head pictures because my eyes are crooked. Some days more than others, I think, but there it is. So photographers tilt me until they appear even.
How exciting to be accurate! :-) I don't really have pictures... is it going to matter what was happening at the time the picture was taken? Because I have a closeup that might work for you, but it was taken under terrible conditions during a difficult time. I suppose I could stare deeply into the phone camera and see how that works! lol
