- Took "The Dave Elman Course in Medical Hypnosis" three times in the 1950's. (Dave Elman was my father.) Did stage hypnosis in HS and college (poorly, but I did it). Graduated MIT, served in the Air Force, worked in the Defense Industry. Returned to "the family business" a few years ago.

Alzheimers

My mother-in-law died of Alzheimers about 6 years ago. My wife and I were the "back-up" care-givers, while my sister-in-law went through hell and earned a place among the angels.
On facebook tonight, a fellow hypnotherapist asked if hypnosis can assist in cases of this disease. (He is the primary care-giver.) NGH Chapter President this year. Last weekend, Ed Bebee and I drove out together to Anaheim for the NGH Solid Gold Weekend. Ed was talking on the drive out about a lunch he had with you at the NGH convention. Solid Gold was very good this year - 12 good speakers in two days (Don Mottin, Ron Eslinger, Edith Fiore, Richard Harte, among others). We were there with Stage Hypnotist Mike DeSchalit (also from Tucson) and my brother Mike Harrod, a hypnotist from Riverside CA.
