It is not a easy task to get someone else sober, it could be beneficial to ask him what he is prepared to do to get sober, how much he really want to get sober.
The best people in my mind to help with this disease is Alcoholics Anonymous, they have helped millions of people.Even treatment centers are not very successfull if you look at the ratio of people staying sober after some years. I dont know if people can drink again in a social way, I cant even if alcohol was not my drug of choice, I would loose my sober thinking if I got drunk and probably go after what I really wanted. Maybe helping him finding very positive and rewarding memories of the future through hypnosis, could motivate and help him feel secure with a life without drink. Finding out why he needs to drink and in what situations he feels the urge to drink. To help him visualise the poor situation of an alcoholic in the misery it can create. T let him see both futures one without and one with drink, and the freedom it will bring to hiom being ride of the addiction.

ok...det är lite underligt detta...anledningen till att jag vill specialisera mig på droger och alcohol ..är att jag själv haft ett beroende...som jag blev av med för 10 år sedan...
mitt sätt att jobba med personer med dessa problem kommer att vara annorlunda på grund av min bakgrund..jag har inte haft någon klient ännu med dessa problem...andra saker har jag jobbat med övervikt...dålig självkänsla...självförverkligande....
jag vet för lite om hur din klient har det...och hur villig han eller hon är till förändring ...och hur mycket han är beredd att göra för att få det som han vill?
Stephen B hypnotiserade mig för att sluta röka...och han la upp det som att när saker i mitt fungerade bra...( i framtiden...när jag hade ett minne av framtiden...där jag sysslade med saker som var bra ..och som var värdefulla för mig...när jag var medveten om värdet av att ha en fungerande fysik och kropp)..det tog flera månader innan jag slutade...sen bara slutade jag...
mitt sätt att jobba hade varit liknande ...fast där jag också hade kopplat in klienten på mötesgående...AA...och gjort en kombination av detta och hypnos...allt hänger på hur villig klienten är till förändring....
