What the earthquake taught me about the subconscious.

Woah, it's been quite awhile since I've been active here. My time has mostly been eaten up by schoolwork, but also since the earthquake struck Japan, I've been helping out with various relief groups and money gathering so forth. Since I've been studying hypnosis and experimented with it, I am continously surprised at how it seems to pervade our every day lives.I've always been convinced that Japanese people would be less susceptible to hypnosis (but then again, I could have just been struck…See More

Hey! Sorry for the late reply, still trying to figure out this web site! :)

Yeah I know how you feel, it's nice to see other amateurs trying to improve! I'll definitely give you a poke whenever I end up making some new videos. At the moment I'm swamped with exams but afterwards I plan on getting myself a nice new camera to get recording!

Have a nice time!

First out of control moment with hypnosis.

Posted on December 7, 2010 at 1:52am 11 Comments

This blog pretty much functions as a reference for my progress so I suppose I should include key moments in this blog as well.

Today, I was experimenting with different instant inductions on my favorite subject, a somnabulist who experiences complete amnesia after going into trance. One thing I noted when I entered the room where we usually do trance work is that she only whispered. She said she had a cold and could not talk loudly because it hurts. I figured, hey I have had… Continue

Hypnotic Training - One week update.

Posted on November 25, 2010 at 8:00am 1 Comment

So it's been about a week since I joined HT and I wrote my blog post about my first 2 weeks with hypnosis. A lot has happened since, so I figured I should write another update. For most people a week is short, but I feel that I learn new things everyday as I test hypnotic techniques everyday. This week I've started getting a metaphor for hypnosis.I like to think hypnosis as a language, as a language of the mind. A language that we all speak, yet not consciously. When I hypnotize people, it's… Continue

Funny experience with expectancy hypnosis today.

Posted on November 20, 2010 at 1:30am 5 Comments

So I've been experimenting with speed trance and expectancy hypnosis lately. I feel I lack the proper knowledge of the anatomy behind hypnosis, and dissecting a 20-30 minute induction is simply too complicated. So today I was using an expectancy hypnosis inspired by John Cleesattel which I modified to also incorporate focused attention. In essence the subject just had to focus on my palm and notice when it closed and then go into a trance.

To further the expectancy, I talked in… Continue
