Hi Again Jackie. I'm so happy to hear from you and to hear that my words helped you in some way. Having been everything from a lowly receptionist to an executive assistant/girl friday in years gone by I had that learning to pass on. Actually, sharing with you gave me the inspiration of reframing the term "watch-dogs" into "gatekeepers" which led to an idea that may just end up being very productive for me. I don't know what form it will be in yet, but I've got a title, and some thoughts to write, so watch for something called "Meeting Cerberus" or some similar title. So, thank you for the inspiration and I'm so glad things are working out for you.

Hi Jackie: In response to your comment regarding your marketing efforts with dentists and doctors....particularly the part about the 'guard dogs', secretaries and receptionists. These ladies are actually your greatest asset, not an obstacle, you just need to spend time building rapport with them instead of targeting the doctor or dentist because they do most of the work. Target the office manager, make those office managers and secretaries and receptionists your best friends and they will become huge centers of influence for you. THEY are the ones who know everybody, all the patients, all the billing and insurance folk, and all the other office staff for all the other doctors and dentists you want to see. You get a good warm genuine rapport built with them and they will give you the community!! Just a word to the wise from a hypnotist who used to be an office manager, secretary and receptionist in her youth.

I had a company called Hypnosis Society of America, which dealt with weight loss by hypnosis. we had 4 locations in So. Cal.

About Me:
I graduated HMI's distance education program March 2009 and set up practice late August, so I'm very new to the craft. I have personally benefited from nearly a year of hypnotherapy with my mentor. When working with clients, I love seeing the light go on as they begin to glimpse the limitlessness of their potential, properly directed.
Hobbies:
STUDY! I've been in a hypnobubble this past year and I've had no time for hobbies, but I do love progressive rock music, movies that aren't gory or scary and reading. Last thing I read for pleasure was Harry Potter. Currently I'm reading Dave Elman's Hypnotherapy and it's really enjoyable.

With the passing of Gil Boyne I have come to some new understandings about this forum. As James has expressed in Hypnothoughts Rocks! naming in one evening the interactions in his life which are all linked directly to this site, I have realized that without Hypnothoughts I would have very little understanding of Gil Boyne and his contributions to hypnosis.
