- I graduated HMI's distance education program March 2009 and set up practice late August, so I'm very new to the craft. I have personally benefited from nearly a year of hypnotherapy with my mentor. When working with clients, I love seeing the light go on as they begin to glimpse the limitlessness of their potential, properly directed.
- Hobbies:
- STUDY! I've been in a hypnobubble this past year and I've had no time for hobbies, but I do love progressive rock music, movies that aren't gory or scary and reading. Last thing I read for pleasure was Harry Potter. Currently I'm reading Dave Elman's Hypnotherapy and it's really enjoyable.

I got certified today as a Hypnosis & Weight Loss Specialist. Still working toward finishing hours to get my C.Ht. Are you drawn to any specialty, yet? I'm really becoming (com)passionate about weight "loss", etc. Not so much helping people get thinner, but helping people see how beautiful they are - no matter what - and reconnecting to that truth and allowing themselves to become who (and what size) they really are. I may be a bit naive about that, but it's becoming a very strong interest.
I'd love to hear about how you're doing.

Greg M said… - Hi Jackie. After you finish Elman (I agree, a wonderful read, especially for 1964), you may wish to try Watkins' "Ego States" or Hunter's "Art of Hypnotherapy." Both excellent and very instructive. For fun reading, try out Piers Anthony's "Incarnation Series" (7 books) fantasy novels. After Potter, you may find something even more delightful for you there. Personally, I enjoyed Anthony very much, but I'm really more into Asimov's "Foundation" novels. Not sure how that plays in the hypno crowd, though.
