Alien Encounter - Regression for Remembering Details

Hello Hypnocommunity,

I have been referred to a client who had an encounter with an ET when they were a child and they want to fully remember the encounter because they believe something of great importance was told to them that they can now not remember. I have been trained in how to do regressions although I am not certain how to try and have the client remember the specific details of the event since a standard regression seems to be the combining of past events so they…

Ah, that explains things a bit more clearly.  Yes, I pick the tool based on the person and problem presented.  Which is basically to say that THEY pick the tool for me.  When I see people who come to me with a clear parts conflict, I just automatically start with that.  If I see someone that has problems in their past, I may work with regression.  Smoking responds to both DMI/NAS and regression quite well in my experience.  Weight loss responds to all, but it is a complex issue, so I've used pretty much every tool I have with every client simply because it is so complex.

PCAT isn't your only model of therapy.  You have many other methods at your disposal.  You can use dynamic mental imagery, regression, parts (reintegration), non-awareness sets, mind bending language, and more.

While PCAT is useful, those other tools and models work better for certain classes of problems.  You can get any change with any tool, it just takes longer with some.

It is like asking someone to move from point A to point B without telling them how.  If all they know is how to walk, that still works.  If they use a bike, fine too, but it's faster.  If they use an airplane, cool.  If they use a transporter device, great.  As long as the desired outcome is achieved, who cares what tool you use?  The only thing you have left to concern yourself with is how hard you want to work to get a change.  If I told you point A was five feet from point B, you could use all of those methods, but suddenly if I told you that it was 500 miles, things might look different to you.

Within the PCAT formula, there is plenty of room to help people stop smoking.  I'd say that's a particularly time-consuming way to do it, but it could certainly be done.
