Hello Richard C,
I apologize for the confusion...but was responding to the original post of Richard N...
But your point and Richard N's are taken about risky situations...The way I see it though, I am on my own and will be thrown…
Hello Richard,
I understand your point...However, the question of ethics didn't come to my mind when I bartered in the past probably because the one's I bartered with were higher on the professional chain than me - 3 medical…
Hello again Doc,
I already knew we had different philosophies/beliefs on approach. I was only responding to your concerns regarding clarification of my method and not trying to change/modify or improve your methods. Many people…
Hello Doc,
Although, I have Cds on my website, it cannot do the coaching, mentoring, give advice, answer questions like in a one-on-one relationship. On the return visits, clients may have different questions, new goals, concerns and comments…
Hello again Doc,
Some kind of way I missed your last post...I apologize...but I will answer this one...
How interactive are my sessions? It all depends on the client and the needs...As I said before, I don't want them to talk…
Hello Doc,
Am I literally performing for the client to rivet and draw their focused attention onto me by entrancing them with a fast paced coaching manner? In a word, Yes!
I will attempt to give you a visual of how bombarding the…
Hello Doc,
I will gladly provide a brief overview of my method (the JOImethod) for you. But I would like others to know that this is not advertising in anyway but a response to a question.
My method is a two part…
Hello Happy Child,
Whatever technique, method, metaphor, script, or style you decide to use with your clients has to be learned to the point that you can be interrupted by a client's unconscious jerk/twitch of a leg, foot or…
Hello Graham,
Great topic...for me, I would have to say Smokers and Past Life Regression...Some smokers call (or moreso a relative call for them) but they don't show up...So I can honestly say that I have had little experience with them…
Hello Fern,
The words I see you use in describing this kid that sticks out to me is of being afraid, control, fear and wanting to seem normal around others...This speaks of sensitivity to me. People with fears/phobias are very sensitive,…
Hello Graham,
Yes, trance is certainly there. But it isn't something that I intentionally focus on as far as inital induction. Just as I wouldn't focus on trance when I am in a social situation communicating about life, art, music,…
Hello Graham,
I purposely left out the word trance (which is very important of course in a hypnotherapeutic setting) in describing the essence of hypnosis because trance for trance sake may mean one is in hypnosis (allowing the mind to…
Hello Graham,
In my opinion, the essence of hypnosis/healing is a 'Transmission of ideas' whether consciously (waking hypnosis) or subconsciously (sleeping hypnosis). Because of my viewpoint, I spend more time with the client in…
Hello Alicia,
In addition to what has already been said, I will provide you a different view point – one that I use when I run across these issues. What seems to work for the cases I have had...is a combination of education and…
I specialize in adults abused as children or any emotional based issues
About Me:
When I first started practicing back in 2000, I considered myself a hypnotherapist like many others that have traveled this path. But shortly after I began working with various people, I found that my 20 years of studying the human mind, behavior and personality took a different turn – rather than simply seeking to break nasty habits, I realized my clients needed more… they needed to be healed on a mental and emotional level.
Even though I diligently studied everything I could from the hypnotherapy school I attended, I found that the books, lessons, instruction and techniques came up short in the end for what I needed to do. Therefore, I had to develop my own style to help me help my clients find fulfillment on a mental and emotional level – and this style resulted in the JOImethod™.
Hobbies:
Fine art (acrylics, pastel and charcoal), playing the classical guitar (spanish jazz), writing, traveling
Welcome to the community. There is a wealth of information here and nice people to share it with. I think you'll like it here. Let me know if I can help. I'm curious about what attracted you to hypnosis in the beginning.
