My experience with hypnosis has greatly expanded since I started schooling. I feel I am much more knowledgeable, but FAR from knowing much (I look forward to constantly learning more). With every person that I help in some way, my…
The self-pity is prevelant in addiction, but certainly not encouraged in any way - in fact, quite the opposite. Pg. 62 of the Big Book of AA
"Selfishness - self-centeredness! That, we think, is the root of our troubles. Driven by a hundred…
1. Most alcoholics and addicts believe it is both.
2. If someone had a problem in the past, then yes, it's obviously not a problem anymore and I don't know anyone who would carry a label of something that no longer exists. But if every…
I feel a couple points should be made here. (And thank you Scott and George for your educated responses.)
There IS a difference between a "problem drinker" and the true alcoholic. To all outward appearances, they drink the same, they…
After reading everything, it all left my mind as I imagined you giggling gleefully while photoshopping your head into these pictures. Where's the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man In The World? Maybe the next pic with him, Christopher Walken, and…
As for a "valid" hypnosis certificate, anyone can call themselves a hypnotist. People have different views on accredited vs. non-accredited schools. I just believe in a thorough education. It sounds like you've already taken steps in…
I'm here to learn everything I can from others' education and experience in the field of hypnotherapy as I begin my journey to this career goal/life choice. I hope one day to be able to give back all that I've been given and then some.
Areas of Specialty:
As a student at HMI, none yet. This may change and expand, but I'm definitely interested in NLP and Imagery; panic, anxiety, and phobias; alcoholism and drug addiction; and pain management.
About Me:
Distance Education Tutor at Hypnosis Motivation Institute.
Musician - "Crybaby Josh Cross" (solo original material). "The Copy Cats" (singer and guitar player for rockabilly cover band).
Background in marketing and website maintenance, child care counselor for level 12 abused children, Down Syndrome health care aide, and autism behaviorist.
I previously suffered from a severe issue. Many people in many areas of my life helped see me through this, but I credit Scott Sandland with helping me make the breakthroughs that literally saved my life and will forever be indebted to his wisdom, kindness, and friendship. I can only hope to one day give back the freedom that I have been graced with.
My well-being is contingent upon daily spiritual maintenance which heavily involves helping others, which I am blessed to be able to do.
Music - gigging, writing, singing, playing guitar, running open mics, collaborations with other musicians, music networking - solo project and rockabilly cover band. I also have the biggest library of music and movies of anyone I know. It's a sickness really. I'm a voracious reader and I collect antique childrens' books. On my long drives audiobooks have become a passion. I have too many shoes for one man. I'm pretty handy with a pool cue as well.
