About Me:
I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist with a Diploma in Hypnotherapy with Psychotherapy and Advanced Hypno-analysis. I trained at the Essex Institute under the supervision of the renowned therapist Terrence Watts. In my strive for excellence I have studied with many other distinguished therapists such as EFT Master Judy Byrne, instructor for doctors and psychiatrists Art Leidecker and HypnoFertility founder Lynsi Eastburn.

I am an accredited member of both the National Council of Psychotherapists and the Association for Professional Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy.

With my business partner and friend Sue Smith I have created the revolutionary HypnoGastricBand. This is something we are very proud of and love seeing the fantastic results our clients achieve. We pride ourselves on our process that differs from other mind bands. As we are firm believers in weight control being inhibited by psychological obstacles we always explore the subconscious prior to the HGB session. This simply prevents us from sending our clients away with a 'mask' covering up the real problem leaving it to re-emerge at any stage. We also offer a session with a nutritionist so that each of our clients has an improved knowledge on a diet that will optimise them as an individual.

I am also co-founder of Fertility2Birth. As a certified HypnoBirthing® Fertility Specialist I helps individuals and couples who are finding it difficult to fall pregnant. I find this a very rewarding part of the job and it is something I thoroughly enjoy. I work with those currently undergoing fertility treatment and those not. Once the client is pregnant they can choose to continue with Fertility2Birth and move onto the HypnoBirth program. After working with lots of pregnant mums Juliet and Sue felt that they should write a more formal process that could still be tailored to the individual. The HypnoBirth classes are a fantastic way for soon to be mums to learn how to have a birth that is as pain free and as natural as possible.

Aside from hypnotherapy I have a BA HONS degree in Financial Economics and have worked within a leading investment bank. I combine my experience of a high pressured stressful environment with hypnotherapy when working with my clients.

HOW STRESS CAN AFFECT FERTILITY

Posted on January 20, 2010 at 2:12am 0 Comments

Stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way. When you sense danger – whether it’s real or imagined – the body's defences kick into high gear in a rapid, automatic process known as the “fight-or-flight” response, or the stress response.

The "fight-or-flight response", also called the "fight, flight-or-freeze response", the "fright, fight or flight response", "hyperarousal" or the "acute stress response, was first… Continue

Trainee Hypnotist Stuck in Trance?

Posted on January 6, 2010 at 2:00am 2 Comments

So the latest article about hypnosis appeared in this morning’s newspapers. Trainee hypnotist puts himself in trance using mirror. Is this possible?

As explained by hypnotists everywhere all hypnosis is self hypnosis. The hypnotist is there simply to guide the client into hypnosis, in doing so teaching them a powerful tool that they can then use for themselves. Reputable hypnotherapists train for a long time to learn how to help clients, to guide them in the right direction in… Continue
