Hello Pete:
That's right, they don't have a very good success rate if they don't find the cause and change perception. Remember, the three most insightful words in psychiatry, psychology and hypnotherapy are... "perception…
Hi Doreen: Thanks for your response. From how we've been trained with Jerry, Building Rapport is what the pre-talk is for before the first session. So that both of you are on the same page and there are no misperceptions about hypnosis and to…
Doreen:
You say, "the more information you have the better you can help your client." And how are you going to find this information that is not known to the conscious mind without "regress to cause?" Using emotional regression…
Scripts usually won't do it for weight loss.... You need to regress to cause. Find out why she has to need to eat food for comfort, to fill up the empty spaces, find out who removed the sweetness from her life, etc. Change the perception of…
Hi Ricky:
I believe one of the best books you can read on hypnotherapy is Dave Elman's "Hypnotherapy." You can get it on Amazon.com, through Westwood publishing in L.A., or at omnihypnosis.com. It's basically a transcription of…
Share experiences, discuss sessions, acquire new phrases and techniques, what works and doesn't work in which instance, how would you have approached this problem advice from others, etc.
About Me:
Certified by NGH, IACT, and ACHE as Clinical Hypnotherapist. Graduate of Omni Hypnosis Training Center with Jerry Kein, and now his first affiliate instructor on the West Coast. Other trainings include Dr. Brian Weiss's PLR course, American Academy of Hypnotherapy in Santa Fe with Tim Simmerman, Gil Boyne's master hypnotist course, and several schools not worth mentioning. For the last 5 years, I guest lecture in local high school's psychology classes (2-3 schools, 1 week each school, 6 classes a day: that's my vacation time!) history, mind model (conscious/subconscious), types of regression, stressing the difference between psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, what hypnosis is and isn't, doing a phobia removal demonstration in each class (only takes about 20-30 minutes) which works great and really gels what we've been talking about. Then on the last day do a group session for study improvement with each class. Wow, do I now have a new respect for teachers!
I'm also an incessent reader commonly known as a book-a-holic.
Hobbies:
Play at playing the piano; am now working on Cristoforie's Dream by David Lanz. Favorite piece to play is Pacabel's Canon in Dmajor; have 15 versions. Love to play logic games. Mostly love to study about and talk about and demonstrate and experience hypnosis!!!

I've enjoyed and learned from your comments. Though I'm not one of ' Jerry's Kids," I do intend to be at sometime in the future, and I appreciate reading the comments of somebody who seems to competently apply his training.
Karen..Welcome to the site! I would like to invite you to be my friend.
