To answer your question (I'm curious about what attracted you to hypnosis in the beginning.)
I had a passing intrest in hypnosis having read a couple of books on self hypnosis, nothing more until five years a go I had a nervous breakdown and slumped into a very deep depression and end up losing a very profitable restaurant buisness and then my wife being let go from her job as an accountant and haveing to sell our house to cover some of the debts and still
owing E120,000 , and being told by the doctors that i would alway need anti depressants to mange my daily life I started to need tablets for the side affects the tablets if you know what i mean, and becoming a former shadow of my self and at one stage i left my way because of the side affect the tablet where having on me, it was at this stage that i found a counselor who i really got on with and did not fell like the dread of going to see her as you know if you have had a past trauma it had been like re living it notonly in your head but reliving it out load every week to somebody to try and explain how you feel about the trauma can be worse than the actual trauma ,So after a while i asked her if we could try some hypnosis and after a lot of convicing I persuaded her to do hypnosis with me so she went off and did some reseach and agreed and we did one session , four week later i returned for my next visit with her and sher could not get over the difference with in me and i had felt wonder ful so much so she refered me back to my consultant for a visit and he could not get over the difference either ,with that he statred to reduce my meds and after four months i was off all medication . I will say though i have to practice self hypnosis on a regular basis to keep the spirits up
That what led be to study Hypnosis .
I have done a number of on line courses and have done some work in nlp and hypnosis with Paul McKenna , Richard Bandler and have signed up to anoher organisation by but all seem to be money money money ,
