We've come a long way since 1930. The hypnotist tells the subject he's touching her hand with a red hot instrument, and then says, "You can't withdraw your hand. You must endure the pain." Talk about unethical.

That's quite a spectacular video there, outlines a lot of the phenomena. Conca

I find it funny how the hypnotist stabs her hand about 20 times! Once each time would have been enough! Conca

Your intebtions were good kevin and it was a great one to see again, but I believe Brian David Phillips put it on a while ago.

Hey gang!!

Last week I was presented with a VERY unique opportunity to teach a hypnotic poetry class!!

I must say, it was VERY fun...enjoyed every second of it! Its pretty cool to see myself talk and present the material...

After the whole experience I was asked to come back again to present other topics and they asked me to put together a 1 hour education/entertainment hypnotic show for 2 days at the start of May!!!

I don't remember exactly. I do remember doing daily self hypnosis with various suggestions for focus, concentration, storing what I learned in an orderly fashion so that it was easily accessible, and memory recall. Then, I anchored it all to walking through the door theshold of the classroom. So, when i walked through the door that was the trigger to unlock the memory bank and have all the info available for recall.

I've just recently heard about hypnotic poetry... on this site. That's one of the reasons I added my all time favorite rapper to my list of hypnotic music... Biggie. Take away the music and his rhymes aare poetry. Everytime I hear him I go right into trance. His voice, his lyrics, and his lyrical flow get me everytime. THe guy was an amzing story teller. If you've never listened to him I would recommend checking out a couple songs of his from his Life After Death album. Here's one called Somebody's Gotta Die - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLj1fHfWjUc Yeah, maybe not the greatest of content, but you can appreciate the storytelling abilitiies and another called I gotta story to tell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6df0rha_Opw This song is probably the epitome of Big's storytelling abilitiies. Enjoy... PS - These are explicit so I hope you don't mind some cursing.

I learned hypnosis as an undergrad but not in a classroom. I learned it from a grad student. Then I had a prof. who was very metaphysical and taught me to go beyond what the grad student had taught my roommate and me. In those days I used it to cultivate a photographic memory with total recall of what I read, including the page numbers. I used it to get through grad school and promptly put it down for several years. I'm glad I picked it back up. {sychology profs are paid to teach, not do therapy. I'm afraid you are wasting your time with them.

Well, in that case, how do I get my hands on one of your manuals? I'd def. like to check it out.

It seems as though you really know what you're doing here, and with your life. I'm always happy to see the younger crowd doing the right things and not taking the path that I had. Now Im doing alot of backtracking and making up for lost time because of the things i've done. Great job!!!! Keeep it up!!! This correspondance has helped me immensely and I enjoy the back and forth. Maybe at some pint we can get together and you could show me some of your skills... and teach me something. Heres a smile and a laugh to get you started :) HaH

I do have Power of Convoo. Hypno. It's a bit daunting as it is over 600 pages, but I still think it's great anyway. I also have alot of Erickson's stuff. I have his complete works, which is really daunting because it's over 1700 pages. But I guess just going through and looking up what I need at the time. I will def. check out Anthony and Hon. I'm kind of the opposite, though, I like to learn technique first the theory. Once I have the tech. down, understanding the theory comes easier for me. With that said, I'm looking forward to checking out Anthonys stuff. And this program that you've made, are you going to be selling it? if so, how much?

Welcome to the neighborhood. There's a lot to learn here and nice people who are willing to share their knowledge and expertise. I'm curious about what got you interested in hypnosis in the beginning. Let me know if I can help in any way.
