Those are both some really good responses. NLP can also be used to train a person to identify and change states, a tool of value to the ADD/ADHD kid. In addition it can train a person to foucs attention when this is a skill they lack.

Hi Melissa - I absolutely love working with children. Children are so open to feeling better and most find hypnotherapy very calming and relaxing. My biggest obstacle is getting the parents to ease up on the control and to make positive changes in the home environment to support the hypnotherapy. Good luck on your practice.
