Miguel, It may also have to do with the subject. I would look for EACs (Eye Accessing Cues) to see if the subject is an aural or visual thinker. If his eyes go to the side (not up or down, but left or right), I think a rapid induction would work…

I agree with Hugh, its what works best for you. I tend to start fast and slow down by the end of the induction. James

For me both ways work, talking fast or slow. Talking slow is great for building expectations wich can be very hypnotic and to me it's a challenge to use pauses and absorb full attention, it's also a matter of good timing. Talking fast I…

Drath, Fast or slow is really a matter of what works for you. I like being able to do either one, depending on the situation. I'm currently working on a stage show induction that has to happen in five minutes or less, so I've been…

here's my opinion, tho i do agree with john on the critical thinking, i belive that slow talking allows the person to relax even more especially with a monotoned voice. im a very anylitcal person and my mind processes things very quickly but…

Hey Scott, this makes perfect sense ... however i'm pretty sure that if you really look you are calibrating for their somnambulistic state internally AND externally on something (a flush in the skin, a look, something) ... its now part of so…

I have a test that's been working for me for a while now: When I'm pretty sure they are in somnambulism, they usually are. After years of watching people enter the state you sort of get a feel for it. I don't think a race car driver…

John, this is very original for me ... brilliant. So what "tests" could i do in a therapeutic setting that say don't involve full blown hallucinations that would tell me this person is REALLY in somnambulism now? Many thanks!

the definitive SOMNAMBULISM test

Hey Folks,  wishing everyone a fantastic day!Lately I've been researching what is the definite test or sign that a client is in somnambulism (or if you don't want to use that scale, call it "deep trance").I'm curious what is your sign (or test) that lets you know this person is definitely in somnmabulism?I've been reading some of the older publications from the 50's, Harry Aron's "Master Course in Hypnotism" says"To decide whether a subject is in somnabulism, he can be given the suggestion that…See More
