Sorry for the delay in responding, but I just got this message. I would recommend that you stay at the hotel where the event is being held. That way, you can freely participate in any after lecture type events and be up, bright any early, without concern about getting there. You will very much enjoy the seminar, as I did.

The only suggestion I have: I recommend the Crown Royal. That is where it was held when I attended in 09'. It was convenient and there are easy areas to go eat in walking distance. The hotel restaurant has a good margarita pizza. :) Also...not a far walk to Hermosa Beach... a great place to relax.
