I too use self-hypnosis recordings (almost) daily.  Some are my voice.  Some are not.  Some have music.  Some do not.  When I'm in trance, I don't notice the music at all, so whether it's annoying, repetitious…

Nicol, I always use music or ocean sounds. And having a variety makes my day more pleasant. I like Annie Brunson's music. She's a musician and her husband is a hypnotherapist. You can find a great selection at www.musicforhypnotherapy.com

For myself (I use selfhypnosis every day), I do not use music. If you have a tape, then it means you will be using that tape a lot. I can listen to a piece of music 10 times, 15 times, but after 20 times the same tune (even if it's the most…

I *always* use music (Dan Kern's)  and I speak over a microphone into the mixer so they hear me and the music through the headphones.  I would never go back to doing it the old way.

I agree with Bernard, I don't use music. When they have worked well with just my voice then the take hme cd will be listened to and enable ongoing assistance the client. People have different music choices so why try I guess what they will…

I frequent powwows just for that reason. Sitting back under the socal night sky with the perfume of sage filling the air and the singing and drumming from the drum circles easily induces a trance. Add into the factor the elaborately dressed dancers…

I never use music. Just voice is more neutral. Every client is different. A person can love or hate a music piece. If he hates it or it disturbs him: no hypnosis. Only way this would work pretty good is to ask the client for a piece of music he…

While hypnotists often use background music to accompany our inductions, in other societies the music (especially drumming) is the inducton which produces the desired effects.  I know an experientially gifted music teacher who has an…

Answers to my questions as I am looking to learn more, more, and more and to continue to amplify my expertise in this field. Need to know more about marketing via the internet.
Areas of Specialty:
Weight, Smoking, Stress, Sports, Confidence, Phobias.
About Me:
Originally I taught high school biology and math. I was introduced to hypnosis in the70's and was able to overcome a 30+ year case of eczema and an allergy in just 2 days despite being a HUGE skeptic of the hypnotic process, That experience led me into this field which I so love. I have been working as a hypnotherapist for approx. 10 years now and just moved in to my 2nd office. I teach classes bi-monthly to my clients and the gen. public. Helping others to resolve many matters and get relief via hypnosis is so gratifying. I don't feel like this is work as I enjoy the process so much.

Virtual Gastric Band Hypnotherapy Results

Posted on June 29, 2011 at 3:40am 3 Comments

I did a study of 20 overweight individuals over the course of 3 weeks -doing 4 hypnosis sessions. Average weight loss was 9.75 pounds.  Weight loss ranged from 5 to 23.5 lbs. Follow up will occur 6 months and 1 year from the start date.

I did the study to compare this VGB technique with other protocols for weight loss. I am interested in knowing what others in the field find have found as most effective protocol and over the long term.

Ah you're in Commerce township. I used to work at the Meijers there probably around like 15 years ago. Anyhow, I move to Kauai, HI about 2 1/2 years ago from Michigan - wish I would have gotten training there. There is NOTHING out here. BTW, whats your skype name?
