Learning is what keeps me going.  I just finished my initiation as a shaman.  I am 57 years old and I continue to keep my eyes and ears open for new things to learn that will help heal the earth and humanity.

Leona, are you interested in teaching personal growth workshops, such as self hypnosis or do you want to teach hypnotherapy as a profession?

I have not had experience with bedwetting with clients, but I have a grandson that used to wet the bed. I asked him why he thought he wet the bed and he said it was because he was bad. I told him that was not the reason and explained to him the…

The success rate as far as weight loss or smoking cessation is different. I have had about 50 percent success with both. I have found that some of the people lose weight no matter what they are working on.

You sound just like me. I felt like I needed more experience to do it. The Dick Sutphen Past Life Regression seminar was also a teachinig seminar. There was one young guy there that had never hypnotized anyone till then. He went back to Canada and has a practice.
I am just going to use the progressive induction until I see it doesn't work. Dick Sutphen has a cd playing(hypnotic ohm) that puts you into trance and just does the progressive induction.
Tim Simmerman used the hand press induction, which is a paternal approach, but is a very good induction.
I have had 100 percent success as far as people going into trance. I have had some surprises with some at how easily the went in.

In a few years, but for now I need more experience under my belt.
I still have a few more years to finish out my contract then it would be plausible.
For now, I am going to continue learning and experimenting.

The potential is there to provide great alternatives for change, but my first hurdle is to answer all of my own questions.

My goal is to attend a two week or longer course in late 2011. I feel I have the generic nuts and bolts of hypnosis, but I really want to dig in deeper.

What is your percentage of success rate for hypnosis on a first time run?
In other words, if you see 10 people and successfully hypnotize 8 of those during the first session the percentage would be: 80% FTSR (first time success rate)
Now with this in mind, which technique do you find to be the most successful?
Progressive, arm floating, eye fixation, hand press too many to mention and so forth….

Now if your husband had made a good functional induction method, why does he not pursue working with you in hypnosis?

My other half finds it odd that I am so intrigued by hypnosis and has yet to grasp the potential it carries.

Respectfully,
Kevin Atwell

Leona,

That is awesome!
So how receptive is the community to the idea of hypnosis?
What is your favorite method, progressive relaxation or do you use a faster method?
Do you video tape all of your sessions/

Back to school - that sounds wonderful.
Starting up your business - perfect; you know I am going to ask you 50 million questions...lol
I hope somehow that a group could be established. In my opinion, there is no better way to learn then by hands on experience.

You will have to drop me an e-mail on here and let me know all of the details. I am so excited for you and look forward to hearing about every aspect of how it is going.

If you need anything, just let me know and I will do what ever I can.

Good luck and best regards,

Leona,

A group in our area would be perfect.
I think that the more awareness that is created would offset the stereotypical image from movies and stage shows. Don't get me wrong, I love stage shows, but it's just not the path I want to follow.
Most in this area that work with hypnosis seem to be quiet. Not sure if they think I am going to take business away from them or not. My initial goal is to just become comfortable with myself doing great hypnosis sessions with lasting results.
Let me know your thoughts and we will see where this leads.

Thank you,
Kevin Atwell
