- About Me:
- I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation in the state of Tennessee (my M.S., which is required by state law for licensure, is in "Counseling & Personnel Services with a concentration in Community Agency Counseling" from the University of Memphis). I have been continuously employed full time in the mental health field since 1983. I have read extensively about hypnotic interventions of every description. I am a graduate of Omni Hypnosis Training Center (June, 2007). I am a Certified Practitioner of "Clinical Hypnosis with Rapid Trauma Resolution." I still consider myself a neophyte in this profession, and I have only recently begun overtly utilizing hypnotic techniques with clients. I have gravitated from the traditional approaches to a more permissive, NLP and Ericksonian associated approach, though I am certainly not a purist.
- Hobbies:
- I hesitate to call myself a "runner" or even a "jogger." I am a "shuffler," completing marathons in the six-hour range. I listen to music constantly, and play guitar & sing, occasionally.
