TONS of visitors

Some of you saw my other blog post about a few people threatening to sue HypnoThoughts (for no real good reason, it was actually pretty funny). I want to share with you how small 3 offenses really is though, and to compare it to the overwhelming support this community is creating.

Below are the statistics for this site over the last couple of months. They are incredible, and trending up. Anyone familiar with Google Analytics is going to love this.

Please Stop Threatening to Sue HypnoThoughts

I hate to be a downer, but I've got to get this out there.

In the last five days I've had three people threaten to sue HypnoThoughts (or me personally) because of actions of other members. This has graduated from silly to annoying.

The other moderators and I get reports of spam, abusive behavior, and inappropriate comments on a weekly basis and I'm totally fine with that. We are here to help keep things oContinue

Last Night I Taught at Med School

Recently I was invited to teach a module to first year med students on Complimentary and Alternative Medicine at UC Irvine. This is a school known for having a great science department, including its medical school and integrative medicine research. Obviously, I was very excited to be given the opportunity to present there.

The class is an elective for first year med students, and has been growing in content over the last few years. It started with only acupuncture, and has since grown. This is… Continue

R.I.P. Dr. Don Jay Hunter

The first message ever posted on this site was a note of remembrance I posted for one of my great friends and teachers, Janet Macy. Today I find myself in a similar place as I did just over a year ago. One of my greatest teachers in life, and a man who has had a profound impact on the person I am and hope to be, is gone.

Dr. Don Hunter passed away today at the age of 92. His wife of almost seventy years and two of his three children were by his side in his hospital room. For those of us who lov… Continue

A few ideas to GET MORE CLIENTS

With the current economy and the holidays upon us, I hear hypnotists talking about, "the slow season" or the dead time before new years resolutions and wonder, "what are they talking about?" Some are even talking about lowering their rates just to stay busy. That just doesn't make sense to me at all.

Last December was my busiest month of the entire year. This one isn't quite as packed as last year, but I'm seeing 16 clients this week (3 had to reschedule to next week due to flu or family… Continue

Hey ScotT,

I am just finding more time to explore and appreciate this amazing tool you have constructed, thank you. It must be time consuming but really fun. Just wanted to show my appreciation, I've been in and out so much that I'm just now seeing how comprehensive this site is

Great work,

Hi Scott,
I asked a question in the discussion section and when I google my name the discussion is out there for anyone to see. I needed this to be private because my client can view it. Is there some way to set up privacy locks. Not only can anyone see the discussion on the Hypno page but it is also visable from hypnosis.ning.com (I need all of this erased. Thank you. Jill

Hi Scott,
Loving the site,
I have a small problem - I am inviting people to join Hypnothoughts - they are not receiving your invite. E-mails are correct! Are you having technical problems at the moment.

Hey Scott--

I'm a new member of HypnoThoughts. Yet, since I am also an Aries who is 44years and 1 day older then you, shouldn't I say...welcom to my world...(?)

On a more serious note, since it is on my 66th birthday weekend...I may not be able to listen to HypnoSummit therefore I will probably listen to the telecon-seminars leading up to it.

I'm considering paid advertisment for free hypnosis sessions. what I get out of it is experience, feeling of helping others, paying it forward theory, or helping others out from conversations of god book or the 4 covnant book. I just want to work cause I love working,
So just wondering if you would let me, how much, ect

Thanks for asking Casey- and like I said in the email, this is absolutely the place to ask that kind of question. If anyone has any problems with or suggestions for the HypnoSummit, please let us know. We ask for your feedback often and do our best…

I think the best thing to do for cliets is not to completely take things away, but to offer new options in their life that they used to think were impossible or unattainable. We have to create new and bigger better problems, like enjoying things for…

Janice conducted an age regression but it didn't go well, so she got into this conundrum. Eureka! If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Of course after three times, trying becomes failing. So get it right ASAP or refer the client to someone…
