Hi everyone: There are always two sides to a story, and the one the media hypes isn't always as accurate as it could be, due to their need to sensationalize everything. Not that I'm particularly enamoured with any of these self-hyped "guru's", but…

I'm with Roman on this one - and I guess we Canadians do have a different perspective on how universal health care doesn't mean all the nasty things that are being said about it here. I may rant and rail against some of our doctors, but that's more…

About Me:
I have just completed my Certified Instructors course for the NGH and NFNLP with Dr. Wil Horton on November 16, 2008. I am an NGH Certified Hypnotist through the Ontario Hypnosis Centre, as well as a Master NLP Practitioner, studying under Dr. Horton of the National Federation of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. I am also currently studying NLP Coaching, which I hope to complete in the near future.

I have been interested in the mind and how it works for almost three decades now. My first exposure to hypnosis was through Pain Management, taught to me by a psychologist in 1973 for relief of my own pain. In 1984 I studied Concept Therapy practices, which I used quietly for many years before becoming formally NGH certified in 2004.

As a result of using hypnosis over a long period at increasing depths, I made contact with a "Group Consciousness Source" calling themselves "The Herald", whom I have channeled, as a deep trance psychic, since 1980. Working with Them has given me many insights into the depths of our minds, and how consciousness works. On the more occult side of things, I studied for eight years with an organization called "Builders of the Adytum" (B.O.T.A.). This afforded me a deep insight into the subconscious mind, which I find very useful in my practice today.
Hobbies:
Play keyboards, compose music (here is the link to the full story behind the music I have uploaded on the side-bar on this page), write books, read a lot of hypnosis stuff in books and online. I am also somewhat addicted to Social Networking and belong to quite a few networks both for pleasure and professional contacts. I love to blog, and I am generally ranting on behalf of the underdog, wherever they may be. My 'Unicornlady's "InLight" Blog' is located here.

Just had to get this off my chest!

Hi:

As a Hypnosis Instructor and NLP Trainer, I will not teach anyone younger than twenty-one how to become a "professional hypnotist", however, I have no problems with teaching someone younger than that how to hypnotise themselves, so they can benefit from it personally. I would encourage young people to do as much reading as they can in a wide area of topics, before I would consider them ready to "formally" study to become a professional hypnotist. I just don't think that people younge… Continue

Taking The Plunge

Although I've "formally" been a hypnotist for over five years now, I've been hesitant to take the plunge into acquiring office space, choosing rather to work from home. Over the last year and a half, that has increasingly become impossible, having moved into an older Condo building that is now under almost constant renovation. For the two weeks just preceding Christmas, and the week following, we endured ear-splitting (even with ear-plugs) jack-hammering, drilling, and miscellaneous other… Continue

Hi Sheila. Thank you for the feed back. I am hoping to work with some clients who are currently working on developing their psychic abilities by using meditation. I'm interested to see if they notice much of a difference after a few sessions. Have you read Sanaya Roaman's 'Openning to Channel' book? I wonder how much success is had with it. I found the experiences that Brian Weiss spoke about in his past life book to be very interesting, where he became very intuitive while working in past life regressions. I've gotten away from doing self hypnosis but will work to get back to a routine. I'll try working with the method you described as well.

Thanks again for your feedback. Hypnotherapy is very exciting and seem to have so many posibilities.

Hi Sheila. Thanks for the warm welcome. I love this site and hope to have more time in the comming months to spend on it. I do love the thought of being able to use hypnosis to get in to the part of the psyche that can open up so much more that meets the eye. I will take your advice and join the groups you've suggested. Do you know of any good scripts for opening one up to the Astral? Thanks! :)

Oh thank you ever so much, I really like the idea of a Canadian group on this site! I also read that you are a member of the NGH, I did also take the NGH training a few years back.

Research in hypnosis is a waste of time. At best all it shows is the intent and skill of the hypnotist conducting the research or the ability of the person being hypnotised to actually be hypnotised. Being as neither of these is a constant how coul…
